smood47
A friend and I came up with a gametype that should be really awesome. It is based on the show Mantracker (which is great by the way). Unfortunately it won't work well unless the radar can be disabled... is that possible? Nonetheless this is how it works: Everyone starts at 1 point like a freeplay match. Typically you want 4 players. 2 players are the prey and 2 are the Mantrackers. The 2 prey will run away from the Mantrackers and have basically a 3 minute (or an agreed upon time) headstart. They can ONLY travel by foot and they cannot use guns. The Mantrackers use only motorcycles (cannot travel by foot) and shotguns. The objective is the prey must traverse a distance in liberty city anyway they choose (as long as they are on foot) to get to the other side of the city at an agreed upon location. The Mantrackers after the headstart must proceed to trackdown the prey and take them out before they reach their destination. Now obviously the Mantrackers might be cheap and ride to the agreed upon spot and wait there but this is not allowed... the Mantrackers must keep at least a 1/4 km distance away from the finish point, however they can still move ahead of where they think the prey may be to setup ambushes. You might say this is not fair the prey have nothing.. no weapons.. no cars. But keep in mind they can travel by foot so they can negotiate the city much more easily by staying on alleys and around buildings rathers than the mantrackers who must stay on their bikes. Not to mention the Mantrackers are restricted to using shotguns so necessarily have a shorter range. What do you think? EDIT: Sorry I realized I called the gametype 'manhunter' it should be called 'Mantracker'. The analogy to the show being these trackers have motorcycles instead of horses and instead of the forest... we have a urban kind of jungle. Draybees
Sounds cool, it would be better if it had 16 people and 14 were trying to find the two, but hey that's just me!

Freyar
A couple of issues. 1) Can't use a shotgun while on the bike. 2) Any alleyway that is traversable by foot is relatively clear for a bike as well. (Granted fences get in the way, but they aren't around enough.)
smood47
Oh you can't use shotgun? That sucks.. maybe its because its a two handed weapon? Is there any 1 handed sawn off shotgun?
Toff
Pistol would be a good subsitute for the Shotgun. 2 people after 14 people sounds absolutely epic, not sure about the 2 on 2 idea thought, might be a little lonely in the city.
Mykester
Yes, I've seen the show, kinda like a hide and seek Btw, disable blips, because that just ruins the fun. Lol blending in with peds.
jeffwhit
Here's how to solve the cheating problem in this game. Have a neutral "ref" decide the escape point, and monitor from a heli. He carries the pry to the escape point to show him where it is, and then carries him back to to the start point and begins the game
Hitmaxx
Here's my idea, that plays a little off of yours: You have 3 teams, 1 that is the "Hunting Party", and 2 other teams with 2 people on each team. They are "The Hunted". The Hunted has to go through a series of "jobs" in the game, collecting cash, getting a specific getaway car, taking revenge out on the snitch that made you the Hunted etc. There are a lot of possibilities, but for now let's just call them "Waypoints". The Hunted has a given amount of time to finish their objective, and if they don't do it in time, the objective can be seen on the Hunting Party's radar, so they can intercept the Hunted. Whenever the Hunted completes an objective, it can be seen on the radar, this way the Hunting Party can try to figure out where they are going. The Endgame is when the Hunted reach the final Waypoint, being a helicopter, a boat, or whatever, or if the Hunting Party kills the Hunted (They can't respawn, but are rewarded half the cash if their teammate succeeds). When the game starts, the Hunting Party can see the Starting point of the Hunted on the Radar. The Hunted starts on foot, while the Hunting Party has police cars. This gametype can only be played in the entire city, and the starting positions are random, as is the final Waypoint. The Hunted has to complete Waypoints on all four islands. As it is the have to complete the Waypoints in 5 minutes each, and if they fall behind, more than one Waypoint may be visible for the Hunting party, so they can have plenty of time to set up an ambush. The Hunting Party can't use any other guns than the pistol, the shotgun and the assault rifle, while the Hunted can use any gun, and also Molotovs, Grenades and Rocket Launcher. The Hunting Party get cash for "interrupting" a Waypoint (being there before the Hunted), and killing The Hunted, but gets drawn cash for killing civilians. The Hunted become more valuable the more they kill, being cilivilians, or members of the Hunting Party. The Hunting Party gets a cash bonus for completing all of the Waypoints. The following settings is mandatory in this game mode: Time: There is no timelimit, the Waypoints are set to be completed within 5 minutes each. You can change the number of Waypoints, and it starts with a minimum of 5. Blips: Only Team blips on the Radar, except for the Waypoints. Maybe a blip setting that will show any of the opposite teammembers if they are in line of sight of any of your teammembers. Weapons: Can't be changed Any other setting can be changed, since they are not too damaging to the gameplay. I personally prefer that Auto-Aim is disallowed though.
