This is a swing and a miss for Rockstar. Instead of the the stars and bribes like the old GTAs, they went with a Scarface style police search radius. I ACCIDENTALLY ran over a cop and spent over 10 minutes trying to lose the police in a clunky trashmaster with a flat tire. And it seems like every time youre almost gonna get away, a new cop magically appear out of nowhere and starts the damn thing all over. It's a great game, but I wish that 50% of the gameplay wasn't the player trying to lose the cops.

LOL, you can go to paint and sprays or just get a fast car and hit the motorways/bridges

Or, just ditch the car, and start running on foot through the side roads. When you're outside of the circle, steal a new car and you'll lost it quicker. If theres no side streets, than just jack a fast car, even a cop car will do good.

boo hoo if you cant stand the heat get out of the nuclear reactor and learn how to skip cops and to drive better.

 

The new wanted system is JUST AMAZING i can go hide in alleys wait for them to go and just speed away. soo much f*cking better.

I find the new wanted system to be perfectly balanced and easy enough to get away from. Unlike previous GTA's, you can actually see where the cops are coming from.

i just make my way out of the center of the circle so they can't see me then steal a car and sneak my way out

Actually the Scarface version was way better IMO. I mean for f*cking christ sake that dumb radius would never disappear. I mean I had 3 stars but no cars or foot patrol was even near me and the LCPD chopper was in the opposite direction and I was hiding under a bridge and there was no way possible the chopper saw me yet I couldn't get that dumb radius to disapear so when I ran the chopper magically knew where to start chasing me.

 

I think R* should've used an updated Bully sigh seeing radius. I mean in Bully just the person chasing you had their very own search radius not the whole damn area.

I had 2 stars once and I had a really bad ass hiding spot. I was hoping the cops would just go away over time like in the Last GTA games, but apparently not.

Yeah, but the cops wouldn't go away on 2 stars in past GTAs either. Unless you went to the Pay & Spray.

 

I love the new system. Especially how you can still enter Pay & Spray to get rid of the wanted level, only if they don't see you enter. Which is a hell of alot more realistic then before.

I dont think hiding works because they still eventually find you. If you aren't out of the glowing red/blue radius, you'll be fouund eventually.

 

I hid for quite a while in a really hidden alley but they still snoop you out after 4-5 minutes. So the only way to truly shake the cops off is to get out of the circle. I find the "line of sight" Rockstar hyped up not to be entirely true. I was hidden and out of sight, but the AI magically hones in on your position if you are in the radius.
