chitoryu12
This is something I first started doing in GTA III, but in GTA IV it's much easier with the taxis and realistic physics. Basically, you spend a day being Niko Bellic as an average citizen, all based on your status in the game. When I'm in Broker, I'm Niko Bellic: Immigrant taxi driver. I work for my cousin's taxi company, driving his vehicles for customers when they call in for pick-ups. I live in a sh*tty apartment in Hove Beach with a Manana parked out front. I get my daily food intake mostly from the nearby hot dog stand. I work a nine-to-five workday, spending my time off work either sleeping or going to the park and bar. When I can afford it, I hit the strip club. When I'm in Bohan, I'm Niko Bellic: Drug dealer. I work for Elizabeta to deliver drugs for her. Little Jacob helps me get my contacts, and I call him and Badman for setting up deals. My apartment is a little better than my one in Hove Beach, but I now have two cars: A van for dropping off drugs, and a Schafter for personal use. I eat a lot of Cluckin' Bell and Burger Shot. When I'm in Algonquin, I'm Niko Bellic: Entrepaneur. I have a penthouse apartment in Middle Park East with a shiny black Sentinel parked outside, though I prefer to take the taxi with this horrible traffic. I work as a stockholder in a company in Union Drive East. I eat only from the high-quality Burger Shot in Star Junction and I wear a fine, charcoal suit. I still like hitting the strip club occasionally for some fun. ----- You don't have to be any of these. You could have any job you want, any car you want, any outfit you want. The only rules are: *Follow traffic laws (though you can make occasional violations, like running red lights and speeding, as long as you curse your mistakes). *Have realistic reactions to unforseen events. When an idiot driver dents your bumper, get out and put the beat down on him when he tries to act tough. When he's limping away, examine the damage done and take your car to a Pay 'n Spray for repairs. *Walk. Real people don't sprint or drive everywhere. If you don't have to drive or run, just stroll down the street. So have fun and post what you do with this little game. Tell us any funny stories that happened on your way to work. Just be a citizen of Liberty City.
the_don94
Haha, I did this with VCS but because of the horrible walking speeds, terrible traffic and the overall boredom of being a regular citizen, I just crack and end up being chased by the cops with a 5 star wanted level. rjltj55
Interesting...i'm early in the game, but these are possibilities? Different places to live? From most everything i've read on these boards, you aren't able to get other property.

GeneticallySuperior
For some reason I find it a lot easier to be a citizen in this game. Just the role Niko plays makes me want to remain incognito, and the atmosphere pulls you in and makes it feel a little more serious. I didn't want to just keep breaking into cars or throwing other people out of theirs. If I finish a mission and it sounds like I should get back to them for the next one, like a lot of early ones or working for Ray Boccino then I'll do that. But once I finish a real high stakes mission like the bank robbery I like to take a couple days and hang with the NPCs or do sidejobs. Always speeding though. chitoryu12
Interesting...i'm early in the game, but these are possibilities? Different places to live? From most everything i've read on these boards, you aren't able to get other property. You unlock different safehouses in each borough. There's your sh*tty apartment in Broker which gets burnt down, a slightly less sh*tty apartment in Bohan, two penthouses in Algonquin, and a nice hotel room in Alderney.
