Sting ray is one of the weapons, you will be able to find steve floating in the ocean. GTA3Freak-2001 Posted May 4, 2008 Share Posted May 4, 2008 I think that if they were going to re-do past games it would be San Andreas next but the San Andreas made up of one city combing San Francisco and Los Angeles much like the city from the original GTA. Still what would they call it? Can't be San Andreas. I really don't know which way R* will go, its pretty early and I'd rather think about after GTA IV has been and gone. Or they can just make up a new city, a combination of city's like Vice City and San Andreas or smth like that... But I also see why not take a step further in GTA and make a game with more than 1 city in it. Like you can go to the airport and fly to another city, I just don't see why not. It's all next gen... Or a GTA city based on Chicago which could bring the gang element back but better than ever. I think the next best GTA place would be Carcer City since it's mentioned all the time and I think that's based of Detroit. Or maybe a GTA based in the South. Not likely considering in an interview featured on Kotaku they said it's possible that the new cities will be distributed in DLC, and the fact that they showed a lack of interest in revisiting old locales. They only did Liberty City again because they never did the "New York thing" properly. Vice City and San Andreas are pretty accurate carictures of the places they are supposed to represent. ChrisAndy Posted May 4, 2008 Share Posted May 4, 2008 I wanna see something like Tokyo or Hong Kong. Theyve done the mob scene and the gang scene. Now what about the triads or yakuza. It would be interesting to work as a gaijin mobster in Tokyo or Okinawa who has to work his way up after being betrayed by his old gang. You would play as a white guy, and work for the Yakuza and corrupt American/European businessmen and United States Military people. It would be cool if they could do all of one of the islands... I just highly doubt R* will do that. I really have no idea as to where the next GTA will be set, hopefully it'll come out by the end of 2010 since there's usually a 1-2 year cycle in between games except this time there's the episodic content. I don't know if they'll return to London. It would be cool if they did, but they might feel that Getaway is doing that especially since they're remaking it for PS3. Vice City would be nice - real Miami in these days, u tryin to bring it back to good old cocaine cowboy days! SA would be just WOW if its made like real LA, Bay and LV... Maybe 2x as big as liberty city, but still retaining that hardcore miami feel. I mean, you can't even tell it is Liberty City between GTA 3 and IV, there is really no similarities, if they do the same with Vice City I will sh*t a cat. London would be great.. it'd mix up the storyline and the cultures, and it could easily be set in present-day. Theres so many landmarks aswell you can add like there has been done in GTA4. It's been like 6 or so years (don't blame me if I'm wrong) since it was released, do you even remember the city? It's my favourite city of all in the GTA's, it was nice and bright, it wasn't like a dirty, dark crime-ridden city like Liberty City or a drugged up, gang infested city like Los Santos. If they made it about the size Liberty City from GTA IV, it could potentially be a brilliant game. About San Andreas... I really didn't like that place, the badlands and desert were boring beyond f*ck, Los Santos was messed up, San Fierro was okay, and Las Venturas was good.
