ishanz
Meaning less than ~30FPS (or very stuttery gameplay). I don't know if it's just my PS3, PS3 in general, or if the game is too taxing on hardware universally. Even in regular situations when walking around, there is a fair bit of slight stutter. However, explosions, high-speed motion blur, or more than 5 cars on-screen at once are really what kills frames. The online game I was in with SB, Piggus, Lynk, and Ska was a game constantly below 30FPS. It was a rocket launcher team deathmatch in Algonquin with medium traffic. Looking at videos on Youtube (yes Youtube), I can see a very big difference in framerates. I'm going to visit a friend soon to check out how GTA4 runs on his PS3. It's not game-killing, but it really is bugging me. I wanna know if there are other people out there that also seem to have bad FPS, generally. This is a repost from GTAGaming. mupet0000
I also have bad fps even when walking round, it was only in multi player (just me in the server) in a tunnel with no cars that I got what felt like a smooth fps (like 40-50). The game will run at 30fps a lot of the time but when things happen or theres a lot of cars it gets quite low. I watched video's on youtube and they seem way smoother than my game. Ps3 40GB here. johno.
Yes I also have framerate issues on my ps3 40gb. Should be a poll.. mods?
The Juice
Mine seems to drop quite a bit when there's a lot going on at once, multiplayer is pretty bad too. My mate says his is fine all the time, I might have to check it out. Both on 360 version.

Vandangler
According to the following website: http://community.eu.playstation.com/playst...hread.id=736158 the PS2 Smoothing option must be DISABLED as it's a known bug causing frame rate issues on the PS3. Not sure if it'll help but it's worth a try.
Mafiozo
Yes, same here. bad framerates most of the time. 40gb ps 3.
Wonda Boy
I dont have a problem but I know alot of peeps have. Its terrible that a CONSOLE stutters, then again this is just a Mid Range PC under the bonnet with a decent CPU!!!!
ishanz
I generally don't have much of a problem with less-than-amazing framerates. But in GTA4, it's just terrible. For a game as fast-paced as this, it really does need more than 20FPS to keep immersion.
Aus_Karlos
All PS3 games are capped at 30fps, its so the hardware can do other things than just to process more fps. But i also have low fps it barely reaches 30fps, but i find it doesn't drop to low even when 5 cars blowup at the same time. I think its all to do with the World Blur they added at the last minute, If they remove the blur it will be at 30fps constant.
ishanz
Where'd you get that from? DMC4 and COD4 are prominent counterexamples to that. Anyway on-topic: Take for example. Mine never runs that smooth. There's always very noticeable stutter no matter where I am, what I'm doing, etc. It only runs that smooth VERY rarely.
