blink3020 Posted May 3, 2008 Share Posted May 3, 2008 Alright so I picked up my copy of GTA4(PS3) at the midnight launch and have played it for over 25 hours with NO freezing or loading problems. Not even ONCE so I thought I was golden. As happy as could be. However, after reading about the decisions that you get to make in-game, I decided to go back to an old save file and redo some missions. It took 2 system restarts for the game to finally load the desired file. Completed the mission, saved and then exited out back to the system menu. Deleted 2 save files because I was going back in the game to redo a mission and I didn't need them anymore. Planning on just playing through everything again. Anyways, so I fire up my GTA and the game loads but freezes when I'm in the middle of a shootout. Restart system. Load GTA again, won't load game. Restart system AGAIN, , loads game but then it freezes when I'm driving to a mission, . Couldn't take it anymore so now I'm here ranting. I understand there are bugs and the PS3 version has freezing problems but why didn't it freeze at all in the first 25-30 hours of play? How come it just started today. It doesn't make any [email protected] sense and I'm really pissed. . Has anybody else had something similar happen to them? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Coltrane's Muse Posted May 3, 2008 Share Posted May 3, 2008 A simple, seemingly permanent fix is to log out of the PSN; sure, you won't be able to participate in any multi-player competitions, but that'll most assuredly be rectified in the near future with a patch....or two.
