But its not like it warps your mind its just a videogame its not real so it shouldn't matter. I think a 10 or 11 could be mature enough to play it. Unfortunatelly some of the parents that complain about violent games are exactly the same that don't care about their children, buy them any game their kids ask to shut them up, without seeing its rating, and then when these parents see violence, sex or similar on game, they blame the developer. F*ckers... Real parents check the "M" printed in the box and them decide what to do. Show their kids what is reality and what is virtual, and if they're mature enough, they're allowed to play. He blames GTA solely for the lives of 3 people. The person who killed them had nothing to do with it as they could not tell right from wrong as they had been playing GTA III and vice city non stop. How f**king stupid is that. Anyone should be able to play GTA. Stupid arguments like this shouldn't take place on a GTA message board. There are a lot of reasons for me to think that 12yo Iraq boys, who try to make a living and help the family are more mature than most of the 18yo+ American solders stationed there( considering their deeds). For me it's normal to see how 7-8 year old watch 14+ movies with a lot of violence, play Hitman BM, rated 18+. But the thing is - they are not becoming violent and the ones I know do not spam internet boards (maybe only because of language barrier). The true criminals at that age rarely play computer games, they already go to street to fight. It is all to parents to decide: is this game appropriate for their children or not. I'm 17 and I started with GTA 1 when I was about 8-9. So far, no homocide cases on my chest... Its about your family and your genes. Videogames are just something to blame. This post is about the childish behaviour on the forums, and a friendly warning that in SOME cases children actually turn virtual reality into reality. Unlike myself i mean i played d00m when i was a kid too lol. Though it has nothing to do with genes it has to do with parents and teaching children right from wrong. and has nothing to do with video games either since we are living proof correct? Didn't bother reading through the entire thread, but there is no proven case of that... Jack Thompson tries his best to convince people otherwise, but basically the only complaint there is to make about these kids, is that they're annoying. If your not mature enough to know the difference between right and wrong then you should not be allowed the play the game and if you are immature or retarded then your parents are to blame at the end of the day. alot of kids get stressed when they die in a game and that results in violence smashing there consoles,hitting there siblings or parents. really some kids are that immature they will cry and scream if there moms wont buy them this game and they will do it untill they get it. in this case the child has no control and is immature thus should not get the game. as for grown men who get frustrated with games they are more immature then the children and also should not be allowed to play the game also. as alot of people have said this is a game i could careless if a 5 yr old plays the game aslong as he dont come posting rubbish on the forums and talking aload of nonsence its a real headache to read. if you cant be constructive and mature dont freaking post. I'm 15, I've been playing GTA since I remember (yep, the first one), I've played thru all them, and since I'm a mature one, it didn't cause any brain damage to me.
