Guru Josh
Firstly I know virtually nothing about computers or connectivity and only bought my PS3 a month ago specifically for GTAIV. After reading numerous threads about connecting a PS3 to the Internet via routers and wireless routers etc which I quite simply dont understand(yes, I am a technophobe) I simply plugged an Ethernet cable into my modem from my PS3. As there is only one Ethernet socket in my modem I obviously have to unplug my Internet connection to my PC every time I want to play on my PS3. This doesn't seem to be the normal or ideal way of connecting a PS3 to the Internet but I am wondering if it is OK? I mean, is it possible to get a virus on a PS3, and am I more susceptible to one by connceting in the way I am? Really would appreciate replies to this as I am quite concerned. Cheers
odiedodi
It's very unlikely that you will get a virus on your PS3, simply because nobody has hacked it yet. If dedicated hackers can't do anything to the PS3, then I doubt any virus intended for computers could. On that note, I have never heard of anyone who tried making a virus, or anyone who had a virus on there PS3. About you plugging your PS3 into your modem, I don't see any reason why that wouldn't work.
