loading fix for me

The only way i can get my game to load is to turn the ps3 internet off. If its on, it never loads. Of course this sucks for online play, but right now it is the only thing that works for me. I still don't have 5.1 surround sound either. The game is botched

Thanks so much! I thoughtmy ps3 broke or the game did. Wtf! I paid 60 dollars for such f*cking bullsh*t oh my f*cking god. Can someone call their f*cking asses and curse them out. Omfg....

this worked for me (i didn't have to turn the internet function off):

 

just delete the GTA4 profile file in the save data directory and restart the game. it worked for me everytime. the only thing is you need to set your profile up again (eg. screen brightness...etc.) but at least you don't have to delete save files and start over again.

Worked for me too last night, I signed out of PSN, and I deleted the autosave file. As the game freezes on load because of Autosave.
