A little off subject but should I buy

I want to know if it is worth buying the game now or should I wait for rock* to fix some bugs? The threat of the game killing my blue ray scares me but I'm not to worried about that. I want to know if using cheats will mess up my hardrive, I don't care if it eliminates achievements. In past GTA games the health, armor, and weapons cheats never did any real damage to my game, since those are the only cheats I would use. I have read that it only screws up "older" PS3's, I bought my PS3 in June of 2007, would my PS3 be considered "old"?

 

I know thats alot to ask but I would really appreciate some good input please and thank you.

i think you should wait until R* fix the problem it happened to me today and i m pretty angry i cant play. about the cheat codes i m not sure but i did some cheat codes logged off then logged on and it just kept loading. most of the older ps3 are affected but mine is the not even a year old and its happening to me.
