I Keyser Sose I
Why does it seem that every post in which answering someone's question involves the naming of a conrtol (I.E. 'how do I hail a cab?' 'Use the LB button') People will always say "Oh, those are the [PS3/360] controls, I have [the other one]." and then need a whole other slew of posters to tell them which button this corresponds to on the respective controller? Think about it for a few seconds before you ask. They are virtually the same. They have the same number of buttons. They're almost all in the same places. Sure, they're shaped a little differently, but come on, it's not that complex. Four main buttons, two control sticks, a directional pad and four shoulder buttons. Here's a little breakdown for you. 360 vs. PS3 A = X B = O X = Square Y = Triangle Start = Start Back = Select LT = L1 RT = R1 LB = L2 RB = R2 I may have the 1&2 shoulder buttons mixed up because I haven't used a playstation controller in a while, but im assuming the larger of the two shoulder buttons on each side is #1, and the smaller is #2. Regardless, the larger one on 360 correlates to the larger one on PS3, as with the smaller ones. Is there something I'm missing here, or are people really that lazy/oblivious that they can't just think about it themselves for three seconds. (I'm really just killing time here, I know this is not a vital topic to mankind's survival. Just an observation.)
Gnolls_woody
I second this. The only difference is that the 360 controller is comfortable to hold. All buttons in the same EXACT place. Good post. Cheers
pphheerroonn
The only difference is that the 360 controller is comfortable to hold. A matter of opinion... 360 vs. PS3A = X B = O X = Square Y = Triangle Start = Start Back = Select LT = L1 RT = R1 LB = L2 RB = R2 The shoulder buttons are the other way about, LT=L2 and RT=R2. MrCarmine
the triggers on the 360 controller are pretty cool, but i hate that the sticks are in different spots relative to where my thumbs are, you know? your right thumb goes straight out to the stick, but your left one goes up to it.
