visigoth Posted May 2, 2008 Share Posted May 2, 2008 For those of you whose PS3 stopped reading any disks after trying to play GTA4 try a full format not a quick one. It takes 3 hrs and 30 mins but it does a restore and my ps3 works now, it happened twice so far. Not touching gta4 till patch comes out. No need to send ps3 out for repairs. Jason07 Posted May 3, 2008 Share Posted May 3, 2008 i was playin gta iv and it froze and wouldnt turn off so i had to switch it off at the back when i turned it back on it wouldnt read any games at all so i rang sony and they told me to do a few things like take the power cord out for ten minutes and format my ps3 but it didnt work soo i had to send it away Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
pepperhand Posted May 3, 2008 Share Posted May 3, 2008 Man what a bummer. Well I just had the same problem this morning... where the game simply would not load my mission from the start screen. But it worked as soon as I disabled my network connection, so problem solved for my situation. Anyone who has a similar case give that a try.
