The phone setup and everything is fine, but when you switch to multiplayer. There needs to be a server list, with how many players are in each server and what not and what kind of game mode there playing and ping and all of that. ChristopherJeezy Posted May 5, 2008 Share Posted May 5, 2008 They need to make a server list, for example, the first time you log in, it asks you what country you're from(in) an takes you to that specific lobby, so there isn't team mates you can't understand, an set it as your default so everytime you log into the MP, you go straight to your countries server, they also as alot of people have said, need to add the ping, what map is currently being played, how much time if left, how many players there is, an who is hosting the game, also, there should be a little message box on the bottom of the screen, that informs all the rules, how long each round is, the map rotation, what weapons can be used, auto aim on or off, an cops on or off, or so on. just a suggestion, if they dont make a server list with most of these things = fail. LemKo Posted May 5, 2008 Share Posted May 5, 2008 (edited) Completely agree, plus R* should have put somethings that make you want to go deep in the online like: - Being able to make clan website made like the fake website in the game where you can choose themes, etc... and there would be some ads - Being able to upload picture from your HD and put it on your clothes. - Your personnal carcatere during co-op missions and turf war. (why did they gave us sh*tty caractere?) - A little profile of the players with what they like to do. (KiLlInG P-pLe or Role Playing) With a personal avatar you can upload from your HD. - A ladder for the clan war like in counter strike to see wich clans are the best. - A little chat window. - An official MP forum you can check with your computer or from the MP menu. - Being able to send photo you take to your friend while online playing. - A map creator tool. - Being able to send official war invitation and being able to check how much they accepted or deny. All these kinds of things that would make you want to really go deep into the multiplayer experience without have to completly modifie MP but just the menu. Seriously with all this I'm sure GTA IV multiplayer would've been the best multiplayer game for console ever! Is it so hard to do... The coop options you should be able to use your own character, who gives a damn about story stuff with having a character set for the story. What's the point of having you own char if you can't use it across the board. The competative modes needs to be fixed to give different cash bonuses to the top people in the game. Especially the team modes where the winning team should get a bonus based on their total cash. The host should be able to kick players at all times without having to vote and he should also be able to choose how many teams there are in the game and move people about from team to team before the match starts. This makes it so that people don't just switch team all of a sudden when there's 1 second left. The blips on the radar should be set to far by default and autoaim off. That way you can see where the action is on the radar but you can't see exactly where every enemy is. This makes it possible to sneak up on people around corners. How this can even be an option is beyond me. And autoaim, as well all know is for retarted people who only got one hand and no fingers. Also, some kind of capture the flag mode would be great as an addition when all these things are sorted out. Make it into a bag you strap on a la bank robbery. There can either be a tracker in the bag so the enemy team can see where the carrier/bag is but only like every five seconds or so. Or maybe drop a bit of cash sort of like team fortress2. You get $2000/ capture and the total is split within the group. So if it's a 2 vs 10 and the team with 2 people get 3 captures and the team with 10 gets 2 captures the team with 2 gets $3000 each at the end of the game + their kills($100 each) and the team with 10 gets $400 at the end of the round + kills. Or make it into a bank job kind of thing, one team defends and one team attacks. Don't know how many banks there are in the game, but there should be at least 4. The attackers choose which bank they want to rob, when they get inside the alarm goes of the the defenders(police) are alerted of the position. The bank robbers now have to get money from the safe. 1. Blow the vault which takes time 2. Get money(this is done by standing in a spot where money is being put into bags by the second, needs balancing). Have maybe 2-3 spots in the vault and it's soundproof inside so the robbers can't hear if the police are coming, which means they need to have look outs so they can't all stand down there and collect money. 3. Get out of the bank and get to the escape zone. This can be a boat or helicopter This I think would be a fun game mode where the risk of waiting longer within the vault makes you more rich if you get out and escape but doing so would let the police get to your position and have you surrounded in the bank and make it very difficult to get out in time. Since there can be no emergency exits and stuff since it is a bank after all. The police would be using a police model which would be somewhat customizeable with new helmets and uniforms. I was actually pretty damn surprised at the lack of some kind of list, probalbly the only thing that keeps me from wanting to play GTA online due to all the server hopping I end up doing.
