GAU-8
I dont know how to begin...My problem is in save game..Im using v1 of the game(i think) and i've downloaded some 100% save game files...im starting the game, its all fine and the part when i have to download the game is qustionable...it s loading that file but the game runs from the begining...very frustrating... I've tried with v2 script and v2 save but its the same- just loads from the begining of the game... I have a lot of mods in the game...months of work,installing... Think that my problem started when i changed skyscraper in LS... Can anyone explain it to me and help me to get trough this mess. Thanks in advance Edited May 2, 2008 by Palacio
Girish
If you have v1, the saves should work unless you have changed the script files. The first step would be to make sure which version you have. Follow this path --> C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas\ReadMe Open the ReadMe file. The version is stated inside this file. Then make sure you have the appropriate scripts in place and then download the appropriate savefile.
GAU-8
Yes i have version 1.0 and i've downloaded srcipt v1 just in case and simply replaced in data/script folder and after that i've downloaded v1 save game....Doesn't work... As i understand you two main reasons are appropriate srcipt and after that savegame file,is there anything else because this not work...

Girish
Are you very sure you have v1? If yes, then the saves should work. At this point, the only solution I see is to reinstall the game and then try the saves again.
GAU-8
Yes im sure. Is there any other solution?Because i have a lot of mods installed in.....oh my god...
Girish
Is there any other solution?Because i have a lot of mods installed in.....oh my god... Well, I really don't see any other reason why the saves wouldn't work when you have v1. The problem that you have stated (about the game starting from the beginning) is common for v2 users with v2 saves created on a v1 exe. But since you say you have v1, you should not face such an issue. Just for the heck of it, try putting those saves through pdesocbar's ID converter. If it still doesn't work, then I'm afraid you'll have to go for a reinstall.
GAU-8
Well...i'll try that,in a meanwhile i read somewhere that user who have similar problems have to start a new game, complete first mission, save and then...i dont know exactly...start the game and load and thats it..ever heard of that? Well, however ill try ID converter but i dont know...this problem is so stupid and anoying!...All happened so sudden...

Nope. I haven't heard of this. But no harm in trying I guess. If this or the ID converter thing doesn't work, you'll have to go for a reinstall.
