Bizzare
I feel like a sinner slating the game in any way shape or form but does anyone else find the characters except Niko a little tiresome, I dont find myself interested in anything the majority of them say, for me it feels like your just touching the surface when you speak to them, the equivalent of a character description on the back of a dvd. I predicted the first decption a little to easily but perhaps I was just expecting one or two after playing the other GTA's over the years. The only one I feel loyal to needs subtitles or I think he's talking about breadbins. Im also not amazed by some of the missions, the game seems like it's been designed for the average gamer a little too much with everything so easy to find, ive only been arrested once and thats allowed me to run around with the same gear, meaning no gunshop visits and no need for any of the games side money missions. The jurys out for me on the replay mission text message option as well. In reality they've picked a tough theme to go with and it will always be a struggle to keep the series fresh for those who've played it from day day 1, they also rightly feel they have to remove some features as well as adding some to make each game seem different rather than an addon but at one stage when your character is to afraid to be seen in a certain area of the city surely you shouldnt be able to walk through it freely without fear of an NPC attack. Overall I am impressed and I am looking forward to what lies ahead for me in this with the hope of getting out of the city and the multiplayer (which I wont touch till the game is completed) but so far every GTA just evokes certain emotions without the need for alcohol, so far ive not felt them. Shotta876
I agree with absolutely everything you've said. The only characters that I like in GTA IV = Jacob, Badman, Roman, Brucie, and Dwayne. Once it was time to work with the McReary's, I lost all interest in the missions and just went on with it. Found myself surfing the web or responding to texts (real life) during the mission cut scenes. Overall, it was really fun at the beginning back in the first two cities. Nice and gutter. Once it reached the McReary's and this Phil Bell garbage, the game got really boring really fast. Right now I'm just cruising until the end, and really fast at that. Probably about 10 of the 70 missions I've done so far were interesting to me. Also, this game could have done better without Alderney. It's a MEANINGLESS "island"
