chrisb1 Posted May 2, 2008 Author Share Posted May 2, 2008 I've just rang R*'s tech support and this is what they said: Have I tried disconnecting from X-Box Live? Because the game is contantly "interfaceing" with the servers it could be that which is causing it to freeze. Have I tried it on a friends console? No. But I will give someone a call and ask if they will help with this. Failing this get the reciept and send it back to R* but there is a 28day turn around with this..... I have seen on some forums that Sony are suggesting PS3 users whipe all the game data and start again but i'm reluctant to do that on my 360. But as it freezes with both the copy I pre-ordered and the copy my mate got me before release. Im pretty sure its not the disc, and ive only ever had the problem with GTA4. So maybe it could be a corrupt save game. So only one way to find out i guess. On the plus side i am on holiday from work for a week and a bit now so pleanty of playing time ahead.
