Plastikman Posted May 2, 2008 Share Posted May 2, 2008 Honestly to me i like the game , i could love it but no....why did they leave out so many good things form other GTA's seriously graphic wise this game owns but come on really no gym no car customs no buyable houseing... IGN 10/10 ......to some of us GTA's were half spent messing around and i feel like u cant in this one ..... 9/10 for me... anyone else think this game needs its fun back? They release a re-done GTA III, new story and whatnot, and remove a bunch of things (and of course a few new things have been added). The next GTA, GTA IV: Vice City will probably have planes and new things. If they release all of those things at first - planes, chutes, parrots - they'd lose some sales. San Andreas was a "I'm gonna take over this town" story, like Vice City. IV is a "I'm gonna get revenge on those who have wronged me, any cash I make on the side is just a plus" story. RidingHigh Posted May 2, 2008 Share Posted May 2, 2008 Gym wasn't that big a deal to me. Once you have max muscle, the gym is pretty useless. Car customizing I never bothered with much, I'd only use it to change the color sometimes for a car I want to keep like the Pheonix. Property buy is cool, but isn't really needed. Anyhow I think it would be down to budget/timescales Take the euphoria physics , I imagine, took a lot of development time to implement (and it seems well worth it), they made a decision for the team to program this into the game rather than perhaps the character/car custiomisation that appeals to some people. In SA the whole gym thing I found to be a boring waste of time, I really prefer playing pool. Also there is nothing worse than customising a car only to turn up to a mission and find out you gotta scoot of on a bike! I like the depth that has been added by simple things like relationships, vigilante/wanted list and Mobile phone. Personally not gonna budge from a 10/10 rating. Your not supposed to compare the game to previous ones to rate it. Also how can you moan about it has no car customization in SA it was sh*t there was like 8 things you could have for each car and not all cars could be modified. Ok in SA it was HUGE so having lots of places to save was pretty good, but in Vice City you could buy save houses that where 2 streets away from each other, it was pointless (and why did so many of them not have interiors?) Apparently there are buyable businesses, so i'll leave that. Car customising... yeah it was cool a few times and the Blista Turbo and some of the Low Riders could be made pretty cool, but really... did you use it much? If they did want to put car modding in they would have had to have gone down the Midnight Club 3 route i think, which would have been very very cool but would have also pushed the release back very very far. You'd be pretty pissed if you'd had to wait another 6 months for a feature you'd only use a few times. And from what i gather there are plenty of new things in IV, like TV to watch, an "internet" to surf, detailed posters you can read (as opposed to just a few of them), going on 'dates' / 'out with buddies' and actually being able to get virtually drunk, watch a comedy act or a show etc. And of course loads of AI for peds, a physics system that lets you do fun things and a MASSIVE multiplayer mode Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
