Nolan1654
Hi I’m new and I saw your site good site I wanted to ask a few questions If possible. Okay I have a few questions how far do the physics go in GTA IV. this is showing physics in GTA IV I’m guessing not all are possible in there but I know some are, you can hang on moving cars you can flip over a car when you jump I did it on accident can't seem to find out how to do it again. I guess my question is how far GTA IV's physics go accordingly to this video. Can you jump off a building and hang onto a helicopter which is in the first 10 seconds of the video? And can you jump off your motorcycle and hang onto a truck? and the whole ladder thing have you ran into some one on a ladder and have they done what was shown into the video I know GTA's Physics are great but are they as good as the video? People who have seen or done any of the things in the video post here please.
Nolan1654
it's a question not a lot of people know been rumors that it's in the game though.
Copilot
The helicopter thing was a ped. In on mission you steal a helicopter and this enemy grabs onto the bottom like that and eventually he falls off when you are up high. You can't jump off a motorbike and hang onto a truck, unless its in a mission I haven't done yet. There are no ladders like that, only solid ladders attached to buildings. But other than that yes its the same, the ragdolls were based using that system so its the same except the certain things they didn't include. Arron17
Thats not the physics system in GTA 4, thats endorphin GTA used Euphoria, there both made by the same company but endorphin is an physics driven animation program that creates canned animations and euphoria is a on-the-fly adaptive physics/animation system. chitoryu12
Euphoria can make some pretty f*cked up death scenes. During Three Leaf Clover when I was shooting one of the cops from the NOOSE truck that pulls up in front of you, he just wouldn't die. I was pumping off single shots from an M4 into his chest and every shot made he twitch and jerk until he was flat against the side of the truck writhing in pain from the bullet wounds. After what must have been a dozen shots I finally put one through his skull and he just stiffened, held still for a second, and then faceplanted.
