I save the game and shut off the console... when turning back on... my car is gone but everything else saves fine.. even my changed clothes... ChristopherJeezy Posted May 2, 2008 Share Posted May 2, 2008 when you go to get out of your car, HOLD the exit button when u get out, when you hold it, it shuts the car off, rather than taping it an getting out an leaving the car running. this should help you... also make sure you park in the designated spots infront of your safe house or whatever.. chrisp1326 Posted May 2, 2008 Author Share Posted May 2, 2008 yeah i already tried holding down the Y button... it shuts off the engine and lights... but the cars still do not save.. only with autosave do they save... my car is obviously in the correct spot because it saves when the game autosaves.. just not if i go to the room to sleep save.. Delano.888 Posted May 2, 2008 Share Posted May 2, 2008 That's really odd, try saving, and then walking outside again, without quiting the game or loading or anything, then the car is still there right, that must be, even if you parked it outside the spot, if it's not, it was stolen, maybe because it was such a good car. Freshmaker Posted May 2, 2008 Share Posted May 2, 2008 yes me too. i had 3 exotic cars and 3 cool looking bikes parked neatly outside my safehouse... they were all there all the time, until i failed a mission and respawn in front of the hospital. went back and 2 out of 3 cars gone. Firebreak Posted May 2, 2008 Share Posted May 2, 2008 It sounds like what's happening here is you may not be saving your game after parking the car. To keep the car, 2 things need to happen. Park the car in the spot and make sure to turn it off, then save your game. Either sleep in the bed or complete a mission or something to get autosave. Fire P.S. antriver Posted May 3, 2008 Share Posted May 3, 2008 (edited) I have the same problem, I was playing last night and I had the comet you steal during that mission and another car outside, both turned off then I went inside to save. Loaded up this morning and theyre both gone. They'd been saving fine before using both autosave and sleeping in the bed.
