Mafiozo
Hi. I think this is the third post I ever started. I thought about it and got the conclusion that I want to share. as some of you know, some lifeless, beat-up-at-school, brain-transplant-requiring trolls, have decided to spoil the plot of GTAIV to the people who frequent the GTAIV forums. some of them write seemingly naive posts like "hailing a cab", and when you enter, there's a text with capslock saying "**** DIES AND ****" and so on. some of them just write it in the topic. like before, in the main GTA IV forum an emotionally-bruised troll just wrote a topic with a very big spoiler. the content of the spoiler doesn't matter, but it made me think and realise that it might be true, which is probably the case. I've been playing GTAIV for the last two days since I got it, and have been really enjoying myself. after I read this, somewhere I feel the urge to rush the storyline because I already know some parts, and I just want to get over that part so the "bummer" of knowing will let go already. maybe it's just fresh, and it'll go away, but it really sucks. people who spoil games/movies/shows/anything spoilable to others, are just lowlife pricks. and I sincerely hope they get what's coming for 'em. Gouveia
I hate people that spoils too. It f*cks up all the experience. Why would I play game X if I know that Y dies and Z gets raped at the end, and I can't do anything to stop it? Yes, spoilers sucks. Also, what the hell does QFT means? The Killa
It would be wise to avoid these forums completely until you finish single player. I already had a twist in the plot spoiled for me. Thing is, I completed the mission that contained said plot twist today and even though an asshole ruined it for me, I was still surprised by what happened. If you immerse yourself in the story good enough, then the plot twists will take you by surprise even if someone ruined it for you.

You forgot to say that Bin Laden appears in the last mission, to duel with niko before Charles kills him.

phs1234
I can understand the want to avoid spoilers, and I applaud the people who stay out of the GTA4 forums for now. What gets on my nerves is the people who go into the IV forums and expect to be treated like royalty, having all spoilers covered with tags and titles edited appropriately. Then they get parts spoiled and complain. I'm all for the mods putting a "read at your own risk" sign on the IV section and instituting a policy of no complaining about spoilers... Saggy
I don't have an Xbox360 or a PS3, so I've been doing my best to try to avoid knowing anything about the game whatsoever, let alone storyline. I've done a fairly good job of that, aside from playing it for a couple of hours at a friends house, but I still know nothing about the storyline. I don't really find it that hard. By the way, when does it come out for the PC, and what are the requirements to play it? Creed Bratton
I honestly dont care if they spoil it for me. It just doesn't seem that good of a story to me. I was only afraid of people spoiling Vice City and San Andreas for me. And I cant believe those games still OWN. Although GTA 4 section is like some freaky level of Resident evil to me. If you get in, you wont get out in one piece
DemonKing
The only reasons I could see that R* may not release a PC version would be the whole Hot Coffee controversy.

Look past the sh*t you know. Sure you read somewhere here that something happens and it spoils the story a bit. Who cares. You are playing the game. You only know one sensory element of the whole experience. You still have the game play, the visuals, and the sound, and the overall performance to look forward to. Have you ever read the last few pages of a book before you started it. Basically, its the same thing. So don't bring yourself down so much on the idea that you may be screwing up the whole story because you know one step of its progression,

Saggy
R* would be completely nuts to not release a PC version due to fears of modding or piracy. There's such a huge PC gaming market that leaving it untapped would lose them more money than censorship and piracy issues combined, and then add to that fact that this PC market for the game will likely be a lot bigger for this release because 1. Consumers have been pumping a lot of money into gaming rigs, and R* knows this and 2. Consumers have been weary of purchasing the expensive game consoles, and R* knows this. There's no doubt in my mind there will be a PC version, I was just wondering when. I'm also just kind of concerned that they won't make it very scalable in terms of what types of requirements you will need to play it. The last few released on the 3 engine ran great on a huge range of hardware, but I haven't seen anything to suggest if the 4 engine will follow suit. mark-2007
Yeah, I know what you mean - some people are really inconsiderate. For instance, I was talking to some friends from college and they gave away something. I'm not sure it it's that big a spoiler since I haven't played the game at all yet; all I'll say is that it included a man and another man But yeah, it's far worse on the IVums; people really need to use spoiler tags and warnings before they post. I try stay away as much as possible and just go on the Multiplayer IV section - not that it's very exciting compared to what playing online will be like. The GTA IV section was way better before and around the release of the first trailer. It's gone steadily downhill since then. I liked the discussion about where it'd be. Before the trailer London and Detroit/Chicago were the favourites - hardly anybody expected a return to Liberty City.
NorthwestRastafarian
Seriously, though - that part where Snape and Niko tag team up on Dumbledore and then curbstomp him to death is brutal.
Stefan.
I, unfortunately, do not have the game, and even more unfortunately, I let myself idiotically know the storyline. I recently came back from Europe, and I was dying to find out the whole jist on GTA IV, including parts of the storyline. Once I started, I couldn't stop! I ended up reading the whole Wikipedia article on GTA IV. At least the experience will hopefully be good enough to mute my frustration and anger at my idiocy.
