saving issues

hello people. got a problem. i save gta in my safehouse, and il do this every couple of missions, and when i turn my consol off, and back on again later to resume playing gta, its doesnt so any acheivments, although in game it shows i have unlocked them, and when i load the game it will be several missions previous to what im supposed to be on.

 

any help?

I had a similar problem, the game would load up but wouldnt load up the last game I saved not even the last auto save. The soloution I found was to save over the game it was reading and just use this as my main save slot. Not sure of the cause though.

what so u just kept saving over slot one, and not making any new slots? cos i seems im having to re do all the missions again, all the time.

dellenty69 i think its like this. The game auto saves but say you go lay down and save in slot 1 for example and when you shut game off and turn back on it will load the Games Auto Save not yours but if you have an xbox 360 like me just open the game options menu to load game and it will bring up xbox save blade I think where YOUR SAVE is( btw you only do this in when you start console up you can just go to the game menu 20 times if you like and it will not even do the blade thing which is only at startup)

 

Sry I got a bit away from the point. your probably getting the game save, just load yours up and once you do when ever it AUTO saves again it will start saving after your save which you just loaded. just remember when the game asks to save then save although its talking about the game save and not your slot #1 save for example that is only written over when you go lay down. in fact i dont think you can even see or mess with the games save in your save slots.

 

Also once you get the achievements pop up on the screen with the 360 pop up you should stll have it even if you load something previous to getting the achievenent. it should show at least in the xbox 360 dashboard achievements section.

 

I hope I helped you like others have helped me. This game is allot different then other gtas

 

BTW I just save over same slot #1
