LongDarkBlues
You can adjust the brightness and contrast in the menus.
vladiator
I don't know if you've already done that, but you can adjust the brightness, contrast, etc by going to menu and then choosing "Display". Move the bars to the right and it should get much lighter. When I started the game on default settings, i found it too dark as well, even during the day. Magic_Al
I got the best results from this procedure: Leave all the game's video settings at the middle setting and fix your TV. While not playing the game, put in a DVD movie into your game console. Not just any DVD movie but one that says THX on the spine. (All the Star Wars and Indiana Jones DVDs have this but other movies do too.) THX movies have a THX calibration feature. You have to find it in the DVD's menus and it will take you through several screens that tell you to adjust your TV so various test patterns look right. The two test patterns that matter are the ones where you adjust your TV's contrast and brightness. If you follow the instructions then go back to the game, everything should look great.
