Just got mine today, popped it in my 60GB PS3 (since release) and had no problems.

No freezing problems here.

 

I have an 80GB PS3 and it was bought on November 29th 2007, wasn't played until Christmas though as it was a gift. I'm in Canada.

PS3 is 40GBs... 8 days old.

 

Have GTA IV Special Edition. Game froze for 3 seconds, then I ended it. Too many stories of peoples blu-rays burning out for me. I can sit an wait for a patch.

I can't select more than one, so I didn't select any at all.

 

No problems PERIOD - PS3 40gb PAL, Xbox 360 (the older non-HDMI model) PAL. Both versions run exceptionally well, and as they should.

PS3 60GB. Bought it in November 2007. Froze once and had to restart ps3, i've played for 10 hours after that and it hasn't froze yet...also i haven't been online yet.

No. 60GB PS3 PAL version. No problems so far. Only played twice though for 1 1/2 hours each time. Bought July 2007.

Yes. 40gb version. Was just driving around, then had a total lock-up, had to turn the PS3 off with the switch at the back. Hasnt happened since.

Playing on Xbox...

 

mine hasn't froze it's been fine however lastnight the screen went funny (loads of lines down the screen) I could still play and it ran fine but obviously couldn't leave it like that.

yep locks up for me constantly(launch day ps3 60gb uk), especially when auto saving. also it has restarted my ps3 a few times for some reason. really pissing me off now.

I have a 60gb console. Touch wood, no problems.

 

the game did hang for about 4 seconds the first time I played it (when I stole a car) Last night I went into the Cabet club and pushed some dude of his chair, the next thing I knew the whole club all stood up from their chairs and started to shoot me, I run outside to my car and was surrounded by about 30-40 people all trying to kill me, no slowdown or crash.

 

I then played online for a few hours and again no slowdown or crash.

40GB PS3

Bought - Mar 08

 

mine froze for a couple of seconds when i was on the beach by the carnival 'fun fair' then resumed

It later stalled on the pause menu. That was on the 1st day I played on 29th. No trouble since

60GB ps3

bought april 07

 

no problems at all when running it at 1080i. changed the resolution to 720p and i have had several 2-3 second freeze's

bought it summer '07. have not had a single problem with it. and it's so quiet (which was a surprise being a 360 and all.)

PS3 - 60gb

Bought in the UK from GAME, just before they became impossible to buy new.

 

Absolutely no freezes thus far on IV (or any other game I've played on it to be honest).

xbox pro, oct 2007.

 

First time I had to reload a mission, it went to the loading screen and just stayed there. Didn't entirely freeze up, just stayed on that screen (still had the animation of the word 'loading'). I was able to back out to the dashboard and reload the disc. Luckily I didn't lose any progress tounge.gif

i got a ps3 60gb with the 4 USB ports, it lagged out once so far for like a split second, i got a canned air and just sprayed dusted out my PS3 a little smile.gif

loool. imo this is just the same problem that assassins creed had. it was freezing for both ps3 and 360. but a simple patch fixed it.
