You know whats a real dissapointment? You cant turn off the damn radio. Seriously what the hell. also theres only 2 weapons sets and the main poster is right about lack of interiors. R* should have really tested this game more with public testers Because they sure took out alot that people loved from past games. and the disc read errors were annoying. I get my game come home put it in and in 2 minuets it says disc read error clean your disc. I fixed it though but i almost took my xbox back because i thought it was the problem until i heard about all the other errors

On 360, if you hold down right or left on the D-Pad he'll turn the radio off.

honestly, this doesnt bother me that much at all.. the focus is the improved combat, realism, detail,, ect..

I remember mentioning this when the first screens came out, but I didn't know what I was talking about supposedly.

 

You can look at the early screen shots and videos and tell it's mostly textured meshes.

I don't know others opinions, but i think, Rockstar Games did this because GTA IV is a beginning, of a new trilogy... Look at the weapons, they are nearly the same as in GTA III [i'm not talking about quality here, because it's better]... so this is just a base GTA, which will be developed with each sequel after the DLCs...

 

But that's just my opinion. I'm only disappointed, because it's console exclusive right now..

and what happened to being able to climb the f*cking telephone poles? Half the reviews I read about this game lied.

 

There are tons of ladders and stuff that I bet at one time were meant to be climbed. Defintely my biggest bummer. That was the first thing I tried to do. Thought I was doing something wrong for a long time.

 

I wish they wouldn't get our hopes up like that.

 

Still great game. Best game ever, thus far.

i think MasterK is on to the ticket here.

 

this is the new gta engine. we'll get all the fun property buying, car customizations,etc etc with the next few gta4 engine using spin offs. GTA4:Los Venturas (the LA clone) and GTA4:El Chupa Cabrae will begin to add all the features that many of us feel should have been in the base game.

 

 

also think theres a fair chance they held up the gta4 launch just because the ps3 launch was so recent. mean why release a blockbuster like this at a time when even the worst ps3 games were still selling like crazy? really doesnt make sense. better to wait til one of the slower parts of the year and make a huge bundle no? i know, silly idea, but gurrantee you even if this was never a "deciding factor" you can bet your bankroll the moneymen part of rockstar took this into consideration at some point. they'd be lax in their jobs if they didnt...
