It's definitley one of the best games i've ever played, but there's something that kind of dissapoints me. The lack of interiors. I see loads of skyscrapers in Algonquin and you can't go into any of them. The only one you can go into is the Rotterdam Tower (Empire State Building), but you can only go into the observatory at the top. Also i would've liked to gain entrance to other things such as bean machine, banging on trash can lids for an hour, Johnsons (Nathans Parody), and other places. Also i could've sworn that in the early previews they said that you can go into random brownstone houses in Broker, but in the game you can't. And there's all those apartments you can't enter. Can anyone tell me if there are any other skyscrapers you can enter in the city? Also can anyone confirm this for me. I know there are a lot of interiors throughout the missions, but are these buildings enterable after? Like some missions took place in apartments in Bohan, so can you re-enter the building while freeroaming? This goes for skyscrapers too. Being able to purchase a unique car and house would of been something nice (a house with a helicopter pad and a 4 car garage would of been perfect - in fact there's two of these houses in the game. I don't see the point in having over half a million dollars if we cant spend it. They should of given me less money in game so that it wouldn't of got my hopes up. I mean even a full weapon buyout is about $50,000... I would of like the fairground to have opened at some point (considering the mini golf course and the mini go kart track I can only assume it was a planned feature at one stage).... especially the liberty city website recommends you make a visit... Even when you go get drunk with roman or someone, you don't actually enter the place! that disapointed me a lil. Very little amount of interiors.. even the ones you can enter you can't do much with, no gloves (what happened to the black fingerless gloves he had on in all the pics? false advertisement?), not enough clothing shops (are there more than three? SA even had more than three).. and what happened to being able to climb the f*cking telephone poles? Half the reviews I read about this game lied. Overall, the story is excellent.. no movie has had a better plot, but aside from that all I can do is date bitches and play mini-games. I've got $250,000 and nothing to spend it on, because I'm loaded with weapons and I've bought all the clothes. Whats the point of having it? HAYDZBABE Posted April 30, 2008 Share Posted April 30, 2008 I agree with your dissapointment. The interiors aren't as extensive as I'd hoped... But I guess complaining won't make the game any worse. It's a work of art and being able to enter more buildings than in previous GTA's, with no cuts between inside and out is a step up. (Especially shooting the doors open when you're in a gunfight) Also, do heads come off? I wanted to see some heads explode due to my awesome shotgun skills, but to no avail... There are even less interiors in free roam then San Andreas. There are a lot of mission interiors, but im unsure of whether or not you can enter them after the mission is complete. I'm starting to think that the Delay caused all of this. The magazines said that there were loads of interiors in the game, the ability to climb telephone poles, the ability to open up trunks, and they even said you could ride the roller coaster. I still won't forget the quote about the screamer in the small game manual. "Sorry you can't ride this roller coaster, but who would want to ride an 100 year old ride anyway" or something like that^ Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

e2thejdot Posted April 30, 2008 Share Posted April 30, 2008 If your simply playing GTAIV for the storyline and the relationships, its a good game. If you were looking for a game imitating life (like how they portrayed it to be).. you'd be better off with Sims 2. Hell, you'd be better off with SA. At least you could buy buildings and had things to spend money on. I can't even find a place to buy cars in this game. I don't mind lack (not really, more than before) of interiors and I havn't had any technical problems including pop ins. <I have a 360 not PS3. Mine does that and if I don't ket him on He start crying about it even though he just finished his turn. We made a chart for the stupid xbox and he still doesn't seem to get the concept of it or taking turns. He compares it by missions done when he's spent 6 hours running around screaming at the tv because he dies from a 4 start wanted level and not using cover. I am a little dissapointed with this small issue but considering how much they have packed onto one disk, I feel it is understandable. Seriously what the hell. also theres only 2 weapons sets and the main poster is right about lack of interiors. R* should have really tested this game more with public testers Because they sure took out alot that people loved from past games. and the disc read errors were annoying. I get my game come home put it in and in 2 minuets it says disc read error clean your disc.
