DruidB
Actually dude, I like the PS3 more then the 360 also but, PS3 is using last gen hardware too. I mean it's GPU is based off the 7800GTX, if that's not last gen then what is my 8800? its last gen... and im sure my 9800 Gx2 will be last gen in a couple months... PC's generations move faster than consols even though consols are really just pc's
Hazed
Hell no. You would blow up your house. PC is questionable platform now that consoles can do everything a PC can, including mouse and KB; there is no reason, except for the fans of mouse+KB gaming, for developers to work on PC titles anymore. So, that's doubtful as well, because PC nerds (like myself) can buy a console or GTFO of the next gen. And that sucks for us :'( That's probably one of the dumbest things I have ever heard... "consoles can do everything a PC can"? Have you seen the power you can get nowadays from a top of the range PC? I love my PS3, but heck, a PC with a good bit of money spent on it could blow it out of the water and then some. Developers will always work on PC titles, simply because PCs are upgradeable by the consumer unlike consoles, which means they don't have to wait for big companies to release machines capable of running what they are producing. Oh, and I heard somewhere that the next console Sony were developing would be a multimedia PC-esque thing. They are already working towards it now pretty much, by allowing consumers to upgrade their PS3's hard drive. PCs have sustainability and longevity. Yes you can argue the PS2 lasted 10 years before the PS3 was released, but just look at how much technology has progressed since then, and how quickly we are seeing new technology being released. As for the comment from the guy about his 8800 gfx card, im afraid (and thus proving my point above) that the 8800 IS last gen, as the 9800 is now out
freak2121
Rofl not a chance, perhaps in heaven but thats do only way, how do you expect a 2008 game to run on 2001 hardware!?
TruXter
It is possible, but not likely. Even though there are far more ps2 systems out there than 360 and ps3 combined. and they could make some big bucks. It will never happen. They get kick back from sony and microsoft for being up to date.
DDR Midian
Debatible whether it will be released on PC, due to the hot coffee controversy. The hot coffee unlock mod was actually done on the PS2 version first.
AndresGTA
is it possible to make gta IV for ps2, beacuse i aint gonna buy ps3(maybe xbox 360).that would be great too if they make it for the PC NO!!! The PS2 could never handle GTA IV. (Can u play New PC games on an 8 year old computer??????) Try and think.......
Nemon
How about not calling consoles released in 2005 and 2006 "next-gen"? It's just silly. I don't call my old, now-stacked-away Radeon with 128 mb graphics card anything else than what it is: Old. Outdated. Obsolete.
Slamman
Actually dude, I like the PS3 more then the 360 also but, PS3 is using last gen hardware too. I mean it's GPU is based off the 7800GTX, if that's not last gen then what is my 8800? The RSX I think was compared to a Nvidia 6600 or 6 Series, but the Cell has yet to be fully tapped, despite what people claim it is known for (number crunching one claim goes, however, THEY ALL NUMBER CRUNCH, by gawd!) The 360 is cheaper as a 20GB used model, but I have no doubt of a PC release, get real people. Hot Coffee or not, it can come to PC and I suspect it will. Quit crying foul without any real evidence to support such a claim. No wonder the thread is at 330,000 views on this forum. For one thing, it means there's money to be made there as well. BTW, I'll take that 128MB Radeon if you're not using it... I refurbish old PC mobos and the like. Setting up an Evo Compaq laptop n610c right now, just got a HDD for it. 2GHz P4!
