I lost two back tyres, a window, half of the front and the bonnet, drop it off at your house, save then load - new car! Totally pointless. Why didn't they make it so your cars have lasting damage when you load the game (when you load the game up it's still busted/dirty). So you HAVE TO go to the car wash if you want to clean it up. Same for repair. It would really make my day if they sorted this problem I don't want them to remove the car wash or repair shops, i just want it so you can keep your car banged up or dirty if you chose to. In real life your car doesn't clean itself. Kinda bugging me tbh. The fact that your car gets clean and repaired out of nowhere when you save kinda makes wash/repair stations pointless (except for missions). The amount of times I've dinged one en route and had to go back and repeat the process In GTA3 you didn't have to save, even. You just had to park in your garage, let the door shut, and voila! Fresh off the assembly line when you open the door again. Magically delicious. I think I do kind of prefer the Saints Row garage system, though. It's totally unrealistic in pretty much every possible way (except that it remembers car damage, go figure), but it's nice to still have possession of the cars you abandoned for whatever reason, and fun to be able to buy back cars totalled in the line of bandana gangster duty. Combine that with the moddability of the cars and it really made for a "personal collection" feel, and you never had to worry about losing a rare car you'd found and stored.
