To all the people complaining and whining about this game, take three simple breaths, and listen to me carefully.

 

1. Sell your copy of GTA IV

2. Go back to playing GTA SA

3. Never ever hype a GTA game again or dare call yourself a GTA Fan

 

I've just about had it, it's like these trolls have to take time out of everyones lives just to say 'I don't like it, I'll whine like a bitch, pity me, pity me, I want it to change because I'm narrow minded and can't appreciate whats there, or can't leave well enough alone and return to the game I liked before peacefully.'

 

If your going to complain, keep it to yourself, if you think one of the previous games is better, go f*cking play the previous installment...god damn.

 

This is turning into an epidemic, and I'm seriously not putting up with this sh*t when GTA V rolls into stores later on, this is possibly the nail in the 2x4 called humanity that has made me lose all faith in my species, I mean for f*cks sake...

I'm utterly enthralled by GTA4 myself but I don't mind reading peoples criticisms and some of them seem relatively justified - I can easily understand why certain aspects bug them where I find them improvements (the driving for example).

 

The only thing I have found distasteful here is the call to arms everytime a criticism is levelled - "TROLLS" - "SPAM" etc.

 

There are forums where people get together and just endlessly fellate a product for no reason other than to reinforce their own beliefs. I wouldn't like this one to be like that. For heavens sake if you don't like something then by all means share it and let us think about your points.

Those of us that bought the game can bitch about it all we effing like. The people with criticisms arent saying they hate the game, just have problems with certain things.

 

I for one hate how the camera recenters when we dont want it to. Makes the simple act of walking and turning 180 almost hard. Also, the graphics look amazing in some parts but there are some really bad shadowing techniques underneath the bridge. It's odd why it looks worse than the copycat Saint's Row did.

 

It's okay to have criticisms. It's called being human, not a troll. If you think everything is perfect in the world why dont you fly to the UK to Rockstar studios, first class, and get on your knees and do you know what.

I have no problem if people have legitimate, addressable concerns. To show you what I mean, Im going to list some concerns Ive seen other people had with my judgements of those concerns:

 

1) "The driving is all f*cked up". Well, it is more realistic that you cant just wiz by people at 120-150 without having to worry about anything. Deal with it. This problem will NOT be addressed, so STFU

 

2) "GTA: SA was SO much better" Well, theyre not going to change this game into that one, but I'll bet if you take your copy of CTA4 down to the game shop you bought it from, you'll get enough credit to buy a brand spankin new copy of GTA: SA. Problem solved.

 

3) "Why arent there any planes?" Because Niko is a Eastern Bloc soldier, not a pilot. I know this doesnt explain how some ghetto hood can pilot a fighter jet, but.........

 

4) "There arent that many guns" The way I see it, I would rather have one incredible gun than a bunch of peashooters. Theres a lot of good guns in the game.

 

5) "The cops are too anal". Easy, killa. They're doing their job just like you're doing yours. This complaint seems to me to be saying "Im not good at this game and keep dying". Two solutions for this problem: Either play more and get better, or refer to #2

If people want to complain I say let them complain. If they don't like the game they can sell it or keep playing and complaining.

 

At the end of the day I'm glad alot has been removed and the GTA feel has been updated. Plus playing online is fantastic and I've had a greta time playing it on and offline.

The people complaining about the game seem to want more of an arcade cheesy game. They seem to hate gta4 because the Cars handle more realistically and you cant be going 200 mphs throught the city. They Cry, cry and cry more cuz you cant ride a freaking plane, WHO F***K'n CARES!!! This game feels more realistic and you feel like more of a petty crook and killer in it. Other some rich a**hole who makes millions of dollars within a few weeks in the game. When i first played the game, i got it at midnight, it felt similar to the first time i played GTA4. When i played GTA SA, it was getting old, it was same old gameplay and similar storyline with tweaks and a larger area to go to. By the time GTA SA came out the series was starting to get old and boring. Sooo if you like your cheesy arcade sandbox that has gotten old and stale sell your gta4 and let someone who will actually apreciate the time and effort Rockstar put into this great game.

Man, this is the same thing every new game release has, especially if its a sequel or prequel. Everyone was crying about COD4, Halo3, and now gta4. People are afraid of change. If they gave the banshee a different shaped headlight [did tehy?] the purists would be throwing a fit. People tend to focus on the negative aspects of anything, "the new drpepper doesn't taste like the old drpepper!" "man, how come i didn't get my favorite map.. i want lockout.. waaaah", while completely ignoring allt he new features.

 

Until the updates come out and the multiplayer online services get the kinks worked out, I suggest we just call the Wahmbulance everytime we see or hear some lame complaint.

The only people complaining are attention [email protected]! who probabley play the game more than any of us. The ONLY reason they complain about the cops being hard and the driving being realistic (two most complained about reasons) is because they suck at the game. Period. I really really like a game, but I am not blind not to see that it could be improved. Although the game obviously improved on SA, I wish some things like gyms and "eating to live" were still there.

 

The question is why the original poster and alike read threads that express concerns about the game, at first place? Just ignore them if you feel so strongly about the game.

 

And no one needs to resort to insults, tell people to FO or call them names. People like this, give an impression of being like teenagers without life outside Liberty City...

BTW, I find it telling that a lot of people are (mostly) universally impressed with the graphics, but from what I've read, most of the over 20 crowd feels like the game is a bit lacking, like a tremendous amount of style, but not a whole lot of substance. The under 20 crowd appears to be the ones that rush to the games defense (perhaps rightfully so), but also are the first ones bitching at the people with their own valid criticisms.
