GTA is a game you want to look around when your driving/running, to catch the scenery; but the camera makes this impossible. Please fix this in a patch R*!!!!!! Yeah, I dislike that quite a bit, especially for aiming. Not hugely, but it is an irk I've noticed. I mean, we can auto-centre it ourselves by clicking right right analogue stick in and letting go.. Hold down B when driving and tap the left thumbstick down for slow motion you can cycle through camera angles by pressing B but while your finger is off B it goes back to normal speed so keep that in mind. So just keep clicking B too change camera angles.I also drive around in the in car view, just like when I drive in a Forza 2 for example.I love the camera Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I agree.It's very annoying,you constantly have to keep moving the camera just to keep a decent view while moving.This happens on foot or driving.I can't tell how many times I have been driving only to have the camera go all the down to street level. No third-person uses auto-center, why did Rockstar add this stupid thing? Walking down a flgiht of stairs becomes clumsy and a chore. It controls WORSE than San Andreas. That should NOT happen. decoda6 Posted April 30, 2008 Share Posted April 30, 2008 When im driving i just keep my thumb on the right stick and turn the camera no big hassle i find the flight of stairs on foot a bit strange like cant see whats in front of me most the time Homeless guy at top of windy stairs with rusty knife > me running blindly up stairs other than the stairs tho the game is the closest thing to a perfect free roam game i ever seen Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Andyboy811 Posted April 30, 2008 Author Share Posted April 30, 2008 This camera issue is annoying me quite a bit I really cant believe rockstar put so much effort into this amazing game, and left this stupid auto centering camera in. I would've enjoyed this game SO much more without it (still the game of the year though ), there should at least be an option to turn it off!!!! Please R* include the option in a patch, it would improve multi play immensely. The only other fault I can find is the slight targeting problem when in cover, but that is no where near as major! Unisom Posted May 1, 2008 Share Posted May 1, 2008 In an early Little Jacob mission (guy in my icon) I kept walking into walls inside a house and running into the stupid staircase trying to help my friend out during a shootout. I never had this problem with Tommy Vercetti or CJ. Why is Niko such a slow clutz? I can't swing the camera quickly anymore. In games like Max Payne and Gears of War I rule, but with this auto-centering on, it's setting me back.
