Those with game freezes and crashes

How many of us have put the cheats in and then had the game freeze and crash?

-My game won't start!

If your game is not functioning properly, the first thing to check is to make sure the disc surface is clean and free of scratches. The discs should be cleaned with a dry, lint free cloth, such as pads designed for cleaning CDs. It is recommended that T-shirts, paper towels, and other household cloths not be used to wipe the disc as they may be abrasive enough to damage it. Problems may also arise if you have been playing the game for an extended period of time. Try running the game after letting your system cool down. If the disc still fails to function, try running it from another console. If the game works properly on another system, you may want to contact Microsoft to find out more about getting your XBox serviced. If the game fails to run on multiple consoles, contact our Technical Support representatives for further assistance.

-I started using cheat codes, and now my game doesn’t work right.

Unless the code was given in-game, or in the manual then the code is unofficial and cannot be supported. Cheat codes can cause graphical anomalies as well as scripting errors, and can even corrupt saved games. If you do choose to enter cheat codes into the game, it is highly recommended that you not save the game.

I can confirm that my game played 12 hours straight without one problem, then I used a cheat, saved, and now my game is sh*t. I started a new game with even more problems, so I reinstalled the hard drive data install for PS3 and it works fine now.

Cheats really should only be used when you finish the game and want to mess around.

I for one will use the cheats,but I would feel very guilty after waiting this long to try any before I finish it!!
