Mister Pink
Ok, great things about GTA IV... Ragdoll physics: I love watching Niko run over people or shoot people and watch them fall from high places. Slow Motion Camera: Mow people over and watch it in slow motion. Great/better gun battles: Way better gun play thanks to the duck/cover system. Makes gun fights so much bearable than pervious titles where you just auto aim and run around like a headless chicken. Niko Bellic: Well, he speaks for himself. Story/Characters/Script: One of the more wittier scripts that before. Niko gives some real smart arse answers when he's spoken down to. I love the script. Also charachters are great and funny like Brucie - the steroid mad "entrepenuer." Th story is so gripping, I'm having a f*cking ball getting through it. Driving: I was undecided about the driving at the start but I kinda knew it would grow on me like a good music album and it did. Got some nice cars like the comet and driving is both realistic in a fun way and it's just plain fun - once you've mastered it! There's a billion other things I can think of but If you read this guys topic and are having second thoughts - don't. They games is great. Oh, and topic starter: Back up your opinions with reasons. StoNeS29
To the OP, I agree with you on the cars and the planes and such, I did enjoy that on SA as well and sad that its not in this one but that in no way makes this game any less of a game. Granted I am also only about 9 missions in but I love it, its classic GTA. As Mat stated, what got me into GTA was the environment, the fact that even after the game was completed I could fire it up and just go driving and complete all the other little side missions. I know you say to complete it twice and then we will all know what you are talking about but damn bro, its going to take me forever to complete it once, I have a job, wife, kids, house and oh yeah a life so I cant just veg out with the game for 10 straight hours - but dont get me wrong if i could, i probablly would because this game is Fire! Remix1121
After the story there is not much to do. Other then multiplayer. At 90% now and play time at 90hours. They needed to add many more small things for you to do. And 10times the interiors they have. SA was more fun thanks to all the countryside and small towns and so on. IV after you have completed the story there is not much to do i'm sorry to say.
m0rgan
Lol, this thread is a load of sh!t... the OP is a hater, probably never even played the game... much less beat it twice in 24 hours. You make yourself look stupid , are you so naive to think that EVERYONE has had this game for only a week, when 1000 s have had it over a week!! Your the Dickhead ! Yes I know its been out a week... (Xbox 360) Grand Theft Auto IV © Rockstar released 7 days ago by ICON I had it then too and I've played it literally non stop. I've only really slept in between playing so I cant quite see how you played it almost 3 times now. I assume what you really did was save it at the point where you had two options, finished the game then just loaded it back up and played it from the option. Trying to make out you've played it through multiple times to see the 2 different endings. If you hate the game so bad the last thing I'd imagine you'd do is play through the WHOLE game twice (almost 3 times according to you)...

wingnut413
if the game is so dull and boring, then why choose to play it all for a 2nd time. whats the point?. it obviously cant b that fukin sh*te if you choose to keep playing it u dumbass. i understand that every1 has an opinion, but think about the hard work and time rockstar have put into this game, making all the physics great etc. making all the dirt on the cars, crash details etc. there might not b much in this game, but everything thats in, r all very detailed and perfect. Also remember that this game is on the xbox360 and ps3, which means DLC is available. it might b sh*te 2 u now, but in the near future i guarantee u will fukin love this game. just b patient and enjoy whats in the game so far. Bboighst48
the only thing good about this game is the story mode...everything else is dull compared to the older gta games. I can hardly make it onto the multiplayer because of connection issues so I can't comment on that yet. flame me all you want, but I'm sure others will agree that this game LACKS a whole lot. Even the upgraded physics and graphics aren't enough to make up for it. R* lied to us in these past previews a whole lot..
0610809
What a load of **********! The storyline and voice acting are brilliant, Oscar worthy even. The gameplay is spot on. The soundtrack is vast and covers virtually everything. The city is the most immersive living enviroment ever created in a videogame. Yes, the missions have been done before in previous GTA's, but there is so much realism and style. Some parts really feel cinematic, as if i'm actually playing through something like "The French Connection" film or "Bullitt".
Geretio
Try playing it online, thats where it gets really good! Yeah online is good, and fun, pity about the story mode There are about 20 game critics and millions of fans who disagree. So you are entitled to your opinion, but according to the masses... you are wrong.

Big Slow
This game is very dull, plain,, not really a step up from the previous games, they took so long to make it, but didn't put alot into it, and they have taken the fun out of it. It is very disappointing, they could have done a hell of a lot, esspecially with the power of the consoles that are out now, and the game is very pointless. If you dont believe me, complete it twice and you'll find out. Well that's a dandy argument, but why waste your time complaining to an online forum, everyone knows a third play-through makes all the difference there is. KieranMurphy
So the OP has played through the game almost 3 times, totalling about 80 hours of play, in a week, which makes for about 10 hours play a day. And he then comes here to describe the game as a "load of *********!". Yeah, whatever. If a game is that bad, I just don't complete it and usually end up trading it in. I certainly aren't daft enough to play 80 hours on a game I find "dull, plain" and that has had the "fun taken out of it". Personally, I think Rockstar did the right thing by removing all the San Andreas fluff. It was all just gimmicks that didn't add much to the game. Instead we've got a damn good cinematic experience that's easily one of the finest video games I have ever played, and I haven't completed the storyline yet. They could have even remove a bunch of the current minigames without affecting the game at all. If I want to play some darts or pool game, I'll find a Flash version online, I don't buy €60 games to play gimmicky little games. And about the alternate endings, I don't care. I didn't even know that your decisions during the game affected the outcome until I read the OP. Like San Andreas, I probably won't play through the storyline a second time because it's so long, I'd rather get to 100% and then just explore, go on rampages, play online etc. etc. than slog my way through 30 hours of mission again.
