IV on a 22' LCD monitor Problem(xbox360),

Recommended Posts

so my lcd is plugged with a VGA cable to my xbox360.

every game @ 720P looks great, except GTA 4. The graphics are not sharp, everywhere is blurry and anti-aliasing really sucks. It only looks normal by 1.5 metres. but for example burnout paradise runs great, only gta 4 is a problem

Is there anyway to fix this? It's not really nice to play Gta 4 like that. Do you think buying a HDMI cable would fix this?

gta4 runs at 720p internally

and xbox scales it to fit output resolution in system settings

(it is not a full high definition game like halo 3 or burnout)

plus the graphics are not very good in general

i think due to the new RAGE engine not being that good yet

hopefully the service update will improve things

if enough people complain ...

i'm running burnout @720p too but it looks great. but when i run IV at 720p it looks amazing bad. it looks normal only if i go 1.5 metres back. so is there anyway to fix this problem? it's not really fun to play it with sh*ty gfx

Better get good HDTV. They are pretty cheap.

Just because xbox 360 doesn't fully supports monitors.

And it's always stretched cause it's made for 16:9 (tv) but all the widescreen monitors are 16:10.

damn 360 doesnt support 16:10 aspect ratio...

Well I've got a good 26" lcd hdtv and the grafix are grainy & jaggy as all hell.... especially when driving. Tried it on 1080p & 720p. This weekend I want to hook up the 360 to an old tv to see if it looks any better.

That said, I'm not complaining and I'm fine with the graphics as is because this game has never been about graphicss....its about the gameplay and I'm having a blast.
