A couple songs here and there, but for the most part some are just loud and not something I want to hear. Im going to upload some songs onto the hardrive and play them instead of the radio. It's such a pain in the ass to change the station when you're chasing somebody too. But I didnt like but a few stations in every other gta game so its no big deal to me. Plus I love hearing peds yell and talk as you drive by. What I really dont like is that the dam radio doesnt turn off when you answer the phone. Those two games took place in two very distinct time periods, that now, in hindsight, we can look back upon and appreciate, but more importantly, we can define their contributions to music. The nostalgia that was inherent in the radio of Vice City and San Andreas can never be replicated in a game that takes place in the present, nor can generalizations of style be implemented to a place in time that is still evolving. GTA4 captures modern day radio perfectly, and for that, it deserves praise. It just so happens, that I don't like modern day radio that much. The songs are Flashing Lights - Kanye West Riding with the top down - no clue Song about his guns where he says "tech 9 with tpain" and all that. I am pretty disappointed. That the problematic aspects of the game are somehow justifiable because they're "realistic." If I want real life I'll go back to my real life. This is a game, an entertainment. Using your idiotic line of thinking, the game should involve only Niko sitting on his ass in his pyjamas all day, jerking off to porn while eating doritos. 'Cause that's "realistic" too. So many badass electronic tunes, jazz tunes, good R&B, good rap, good everything... maybe you guys are disappointed by the lack of mainstream stuff? Maybe Nickelback and Akon would've been better... ERIC CLAPTON FTW KTHX That's about the only one I can bare to listen to.I've been reading these boards for months,but this was the first thing that I had to post about.The songs/radio stations were a major reason why I loved Vice City and SA.Rockstar really REALLY messed these one up BIGTIME!Just law of averages suggests atleast four or five would be good,but so far IMO the classic rock station is the ONLY one I can take.I understand Rockstar wanted to go with SOME unknowns,but this is ridiculous.The fact that they didn't give us the make your own station as an option makes this all the more painful.Bad,Bad move Rockstar.
