The "depth of field" in this is a real strain on the eyes and i am seeing complain threads popping up on several other gaming forums.Everything seems to be covered in a blurry fuzz. And not just far off distant objects.

I have no problems with any of my other 360 games.

I've tried several resolutions on my 19" wide screen LCD but it's still there.

They should've added an option to disable the blur.I don't care about the visuals as long as it's not distracting the crap out of me.

I find this annoying as well. It's almost like they put x32 AA on or something... Overall I am very pleased with the game but I am finding that I get eye strain playing this game, the first game I have ever had eye strain playing in 20 years of gaming!

I wonder if they can fix this in a patch, I would rather have distant objects pop in and be able to disable or lower the blur effect. Funnily enough, the only other game that has caused me problems briefly was GTA III on the PC, the 'trails' effect had to be switched off before I can see everything properly.

Mass Effect gave users the option to disable the 'noise' effect, please R* give us a couple of options on the menu to disable / lower blur effect.

I quite like how they have distant objects blurry instead of popping in and out or that daft fog from the other games. However the only thing that gets me is the shadows, just makes things really quite fuzzy.

Though other than that I could not be happier with the game... just rubbish i need to go to work now insted of playing it sad.gif. Got a week off next week though he he.

The blur is horrible. Not only is it WAY to much in the distance, it also starts way to close to the foreground. You can see it on the main character and he's usually one of the closest things to the screen! If I wanted to play a game with that much fuzz and blur I would take my glasses off before I play. They need to push it back more to the background and tone it down by about 50% to make it bareable.

If they CAN'T do that because making the blur that bad was the only way to get a decent FPS then they should have realized that they needed to lower the poly or object count and texture res instead of throwing on this stupid band-aid fix that looks horrible.

I just wrote about a test you can try for this prob on this thread http://www.gtaforums.com/index.phpshowtopic=335782

Basically try switching to 576p and see if you get less blur. I dont own the 360 version but this seems to make the PS3 version look less blurry, but i end up with a few more jaggies (catch22)

Anyway I dont think the blurry effect is for performance increase, its more like its there to hide all the jaggies.

Try what i mentioned and post back what you found.
