Above Posted May 1, 2008 Share Posted May 1, 2008 (edited) My game froze three times within the first 6 hours of play on PS3 60 GB and often I experienced short freezing moments. I was really pissed. I had not completed any missions but I still deleted the save data on the HDD. I started over again and I have played much since and played a bit of the storyline and not experienced any problems since. It's really weird why this happened and all problems suddenly disappeared. I hope it will stay this way. I really hope a patch from either Sony or Rockstar can solve this asap so all PS3 + GTA IV owners can be happy. spdrlfc Posted May 1, 2008 Share Posted May 1, 2008 Oddly enough my game only crashes when roaming, and I have a 40GB PS3 model...I'm seriously thinking it has something to do with the internet, because as with some reports mine only froze after I hooked up my ethernet cable to try and go online, though it's still continuing to freeze after removing it. I'd like to see someone play the game for the first time without internet off and on for a few days to see if it freezes or not. i have a 5 month old 40gig eu version and i never play WITHOUT internet plugged, never froze ... ever ... not even lag. MadBullBunny Posted May 1, 2008 Share Posted May 1, 2008 i think u people just have bad luck with buying ps3's, because i got a 60gb ps3 the first day it came out, no i wasnt a loser who stood in line all night, i know the electronics manager and he saved me one to buy, but i got an offical hdmi cable on black friday from walmart thats for the ps3 and with the 1080p tv i dont have no cropping issues, ive been playing gta iv for hours and it would not freeze or crash, and u poeple saying oh it works for the 20gb ps3 but not the 60gb ps3, ummmm... i think they are the samething just one has more memory Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
