drstrangelove14 Posted April 29, 2008 Share Posted April 29, 2008 Hello everyone I was wondering whether or not GTA IV uses a letterboxed picture when using a 4:3 1280x1024 monitor in order to prserve a 16:9 aspect ratio and a 720p picture? Grand Puba Posted April 29, 2008 Share Posted April 29, 2008 The fact that there are no black borders at the top and bottom of the screen is very bad for people with a monitor like me If you have a lcd monitor 1280x1024 (not a widescreen) monitor like this the full screen makes the graphics so much worse than they would be with the bars I recall people being annoyed about it with Halo 3 and Bungie saying that most people prefer the full screen than the borders, I have no idea why anyone would prefer the image quality to be so much worse but maybe I am in the minority Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
