GTA4 World Blur

Recommended Posts

Just Bought GTA4 played for 20mins and got a migraine from the world blur, extremely hard on the eyes, i use a HDTV np there as all my other games display beautifully.

Is there a way to remove the awful blur apart from saturation contrast etc?(i understand the blur is implemented for framerate but its extremely distracting)

Any help / ideas would be much appreciated .

Good Gaming 8)

p.s. i have GTA4 on both PS3 and 360, both have the same issue.

Probably used to maintain the framerate. sad.gif

I have the same problem. I don't think its all the game. My Brother has the game, he has a 32" 1080i set i have a 37" 1080p set. All games look beautiful on mine that i've played and now i got gta. Its so blurry. Playing it on his its much much more clear than mine. I Don't know why, but this is the only game.

I play GTA IV on the PS3 via HDMI and have the same issues when running @ 720p. However as a test i started playing the game in 576p and to me it looks like the blur is not present on 576p, but jaggies are more noticeable. Another thing ive tested playing on a SDTV you get less to no blur compared to 720p. confused.gif

Imo either the game is bugged on 720p which is highly unlikely or R* added the blur effect to make the jaggies less noticeable for higher rez's.

Anyone else having the blurry prob should try changing to 576p briefly to test and see whether you think the blur effect is not present or much less in effect than 720p and post back you opinions.

Flicker Filter is no present on my game options. Also, i'm not complaining about jaggys or the blur when looking way into the distance. Its the whole game in general when comparing it to my brothers tv. All other games look perfect when i compare them on both tvs. Mine actually looks better of course as it always has except this game. I've seen some other people complaining about this on other forums, i think people are misunderstanding them though. There is a really noticeable difference and it sucks. You can always change tv settings to make it look better but how the game is displaying that blur you can never really get rid of it and adjusting all those settings just messes up your other games.
