If you still have 480p (or if ANYONE still has 480p) I recommend upgrading.

Also, this has been asked 100 times.

Meh...I have an EDTV of some sort.

I didn't even know that existed until I looked at my TV. lol.gif

Edit: There's an HDTV in my living room, but I don't know if my family will appreciate the sound of Niko killing people constantly. nervous.gif

This sucks...

just wondering if anyone is upgrading their tv to play this game

I upgraded my TV for Halo 3, so I don't have to upgrade for GTA IV biggrin.gif.

I thought it meant Enhanced...

Maybe I can secretly switch my ED with my brother's HD without him knowing. ph34r.gif

i just bought an AGP cord to play on my monitor, 720p

What's an AGP cord?

I think he meant VGA. AGP is a dying graphics port format for video cards.

I'm playing on a 1080i tv...

Not a huge difference between 1080i and 1080p apparently, so i'm happy biggrin.gif

I think its only over 52" that you can notice the difference.

Whatever! EDTV beats SDTV which I used to have so I'm happy enough.

Kinda funny today in school...some kid asked the date behind me while we were taking a test, and when he found out it was the 28th, he goes, "Oh my God GTA IV comes out tomorrow!"

whatsthat.gif

Anyway...How significant is the difference between ED and HD? (I know, probably HUGE.)

It does, as far as I remember EDTV's (enhanced definition) resolution is around 800x600, and SDTV is around 600x480

no i'm not upgrading my tv. I would only use it to play games.. I rarely watch tv, and there's no real HD broadcast here, apart from discovery channel and some other crap.

I have a pretty good computer monitor I use for HD
