joakimnestor
I've a 360 with BenQ reader. When i drive fast, it happens all the time that textures wont load, it seems like the dvd-reader doesnt keep up. Btw this is a real copy. Anyone else having these problems? Seddo
I've had slow texture loading whilst driving fast, every 360 owner will have the same problem. It was even mentioned in a PS3 v 360 comparison article. sh*tty Microsoft not giving every console a HDD. maverick808
I played it over a week ago and posted about pop-in and slow texture load but nobody believed me. Now tons of people are getting it and surprise, surprise, one of the first problems posted is pop-in and texture load on the xbox. Sorry to say, this is just the way the game is on the xbox. Maybe the PS3 too, I don't know cause I haven't played the PS3 version yet. joakimnestor
It's a core/arcade. Well, i know that the magazines said that there will be popups, but i CANT complete the current mission because the textures wont load so i cant see where im driving. I can live with popups, as long as its still playable. But these problems are extreme, Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/335212-slow-texture-loadings/?do=findComment&comment=1057962072 Share on other sites

Flinty
They should have really included an optional install to the HDD for 360 owners. We have the HDD so why not use it ? eh ? why not? joakimnestor
I dont think version matters, it seems like its the drive that's the problem. Almost every BenQ reader seems to have this problem from what ive read. maverick808
I guess you could try buying a new 360 as it won't have a BENQ drive... or get a PS3. SBizz6
How old is your xbox 360? When did you get it? I got it about two weeks ago at Best Buy. josh995
Ok, I have a Playstation 3, but this is a big problem, this shouldn't be happening on any console... I don't really know what you can do, maybe you can call Microsoft and tell them the problem you're having... They're working hard on making the 360 the "target GTA IV console" so maybe they'll help you out? Although, of course, that'd result in about a 2 week absence of your 360. We may own different consoles, but I feel for you man, I really, really do. maverick808
Yup, totally sucks. This is MS's fault in two ways. Firstly, for putting in the crappy ben-q drive on some xboxes in the first place. Secondly, for not allowing HD installs, which would allow this problem to be avoided even if you have a ben-q drive. At the moment it would seem the only real solution is a new console, either a new xbox (without benq drive) or PS3.
