D3lta Posted April 28, 2008 Share Posted April 28, 2008 I stopped reading after this: Eight hours into "Grand Theft Auto IV" (Rockstar Games, for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, $59.99), I've stolen 17 cars, run over 20 people and killed another 15 (some of whom had it coming). beaniewells Posted April 28, 2008 Share Posted April 28, 2008 the guy didnt rip on the game or anything, i dont see why you dudes think it was such a terrible review (score-wise)... sure, it was poorly done and he obviously doesn't know much, but still, 3.5/4 from someone like that isn't bad. -- he still should have finished the game though. he did mention how the storyline was engaging, right? also, i enjoy fox news. better than cnn and that other crap (which is just as biased in the opposite political direction). and don't confuse "fox news" with chicago's "fox 11" which ran the bus ad story. they're not really related, besides both being owned by the parent company, fox. If you ignore exploration of the city, shoot outs, missions, comedy, hookers, helicopters, multiplayer and the fact that Niko has legs, then yeah GTAs a driving game. Maybe that’s why they gave it 3.5/4; they kept driving around like retards wondering wtf you’re their supposed to do. Then again maybe it’s their overwhelming conservative bias, I'm not quite sure... This tells me everything I need to know about the guy’s gaming credentials. The fact that GTA4 manages to pull so many different gameplay elements together almost perfectly and without a hint of compromise is what is the gaming press are universally agreeing on and why its scores have been so high! But playing it for 8 hours, complaining about stuff in the game the reviewer has no understanding about, and to me it seemed alot of stuff didn't make sense to him, then he gave it a 3,5/4. its like "Cool game i like it, but i really don't understand much of it."
