Typhus
At the end of Vice City Tommy is the king of Vice City, his enemies in Liberty City are dead, he owns lots of businesses and has no real rivals. Yet the music during the credits is sombre and melancholic. Why do you think this is?
markiij
Must be custom made for the game cause I don't know the name and it's known that Rockstar composed music for the game. EDIT: PS. If you want it, I'm sure it's somewhere in the gamefiles .
MAGHALBU
Yeah, wave sound in GTA vice city user files/audio/finale. It's a puzzle for me too. Just like music showing smb's death, or in a dark district. Such kind of impression made on me. My opinion.
Typhus
I know what you mean, it made a huge impression on me as well. Sometimes I'll catch myself thinking of the tune. But I think some of you are a little confused, I'm not asking where to get the music. I'm asking your opinions as to why they chose that tune for the ending. As the sad music contrasts with Tommy's apparent triumph.
QwertyAAA
Because Tommy has just killed hundreds of people?
Mafiozo
yeah, agree with you. great music. very 80's, emotional stuff. it goes great with the montage of Vice city. I think it's there to make you think and reminisce about all the long way you had to get to the top. all the people, the stories, the moments, the beauty of vice... It's great, everything about vice city is great. this music is deep...
MisterWhite
Because Tommy has just killed hundreds of people? More like thousands of people, or im my case; tens of thousands (up to about 15,000 now). But I think the music is just a closing for the tough time he had making a name for himself in Vice City. Also the fact that he can't trust anyone (Lance) and it just brings the story to a close. bman_triads
Sorry for continuing the bump but: The music made me feel sad because I just finished the storyline of a great game. It just made me think of the storyline again, and how it came to a close. Lol.
