Sony probably didn't feel it was necessary at this time because they'd built up a dedicated fanbase (which, if the fanboy wars are any indication, is a large base) and the game sells on its own, really needs no marketing. M$ did what they could to enjoy that same level of exclusivity that Sony was privy to in previous installments...its business guys, pure and simple. i think you will find that Microsoft DOS had it first............ Just think about it, replacing every third 360 because it fails does cost a HUGE amount of money. My friend's 360 just RRoD again, and it's a pretty new one, bought last December. To be honest though, MS never made money with their consoles. Instead they rely on ripping people off and make them buy expensive add-ons for the console such as the overpriced HDD, Wireless Adapter, HD-DVD Drive and so on. They're not forcing you to buy any add-ons... I didn't want the wifi adapter or the HD-DVD so I didn't buy it, and the HDD came with the 360. MS made a four billion dollar loss on Xbox 1, and that thing didn't have such an enormous amount of hardware failures. Rockstar made the PS3 version run smoother than the 360 version, so someone there had to have said--Geez, you know how much more we could have done if this was PS3 exclusive? That's the beauty of the English language, we can generally tell how people are feeling by the words they use, that's why words exist. The word "afterthought" is generally used to describe something that's been tacked on at the end of something else, a rush job, with little care or attention given to it. That's the word he used, and I wasn't having a go at his opinion, I had a difference in opinion. What problem are you having with that? Think about it their executives make double and tripple that if not more thats for 1 persons salary PER YEAR , so all you 12 year olds pretending to know what your talking about... you don't, please quit with the " oh sony cant afford it" they can but they chose not to because they know people are not purchasing things from the playstation store like they are from XBL, it was just a buisness decision and a correct one as far as I am concerned, I have both systems before anyone starts calling me a fanboy and I have purchased a ton of stuff from XBL but NOTHING from the PS store and I would say that is true for alot of gamers. And as a note to all you fanboys out there, Both companies are giant multi-national corporations who DONT GIVE A sh*t ABOUT YOU unless of course you are a large wealthy shareholder, which I can almost promise none of you fanboys are since you are most likely 10-15 years old. Dont let a one company (who really doesn't give two sh*ts abot you) blind you to all the possibilities out there both Xbox 360 and PS3 are great systems with pros and cons for each. EDIT: And for those of you who think the next GTA will be a PS3 exclusive... I highly doubt it since it will be 4-5 years till the next one and by then both companies will most likely have new systems by then, quit acting like you can predict the future, also I read someone said late 2009 for the next GTA release... LMFAO you really think R* gets the hype machine like this because the release games in the series a f*cking year and a half apart? come on be serious.
