WHY DIDN'T PS3 FIGHT FOR DLC FOR US?

Microsoft clearly does not make MORE products then Sony, and that past statement is false people. They may both be wealthy companies but that is not the same as product produced or the history of each, MS being much shorter and solely based on software to begin with.

Now, I might have been paying less attention than I should have been over the last couple of months, but...

 

Why is that whenever a fanboy really gets angry and starts SHOUTING WITH THEIR CAPS-COCK BUTTON LOCKED DOWN, IT ALWAYS TURNS OUT TO BE A PS3 USER?

I own both systems but bought the PS3 version becasue i dont care about DLC unless its free and im on my 3rd 360

they are just not reliable.

 

I like both systems but the 360 is just built cheaper and not future proof like the PS3 i cant see any games coming out in the future that i will be buying for my 360 it will be collecting dust since i can get allmost every game the 360 has or going to have for the PC.

 

Anyone want to buy a 360?

Personally im getting it for the 360 and then maybe for the PC if it ever gets released.

 

Seeing as thus far this game is meant to be the best reviewed game of all time why wouldn't i want an extra minimum 20hrs of gameplay? I'm sorry but anyone who would rather have a tiny tiny bit better graphics over extra gameplay is someone who's opinion i'll never take seriously. It's about the games people not the shiny cover they come in.

That still MAY or MAY NOT be true... Also fact, Sony lost money on Dell battery recall. Sony lost money on the PS3 production cost cuts. We got them for the sell through price because Sony undercut the cost of production to make them. If you've followed the press that was clearly out there on the market, How can you not know this?

Apparently its out in August according to a few of the reviews especially the OXM one.

But in terms of Profits MS is 9th with $8.8billion a year and Sony is 129th with 980m

 

So in terms of wealth MS earn nearly 9x a year what Sony make in profit. Which is a lot.

Now, for the console rivalry. Much has been made of the downloadable content available for the Xbox 360 version later on in the year, though little actual news about said slice of pie has leaked as of yet.

 

But which version is the best? Well, aesthetically both are close to absolutely identical. The PS3 version seems a little "cleaner" though the Xbox 360 iteration seems to have a slightly more solid frame rate.

By that you mean, not a single review has mentioned one console being superior in regards to framerate issues. Which would have nothing to do with the space on a disc anyway.

 

The reviews that mention framerate say are talking generally, they're not picking sides, and besides... they don't call them framerate "issues" at all. Because they're so minute they don't affect the gameplay, thus not being an issue. They're hiccups at best.

By future proof i mean will last longer aka longer life span and HD media player.

And don't get me wrong i love my 360 for the games i have i just don't see me buying any games in the future for it casue they will all be either multi platform or on the PC.

Well i wouldn't go so far as to say its future proof. The fact over 85% of Blu-Ray players are in PS3's and the fact Blu-Ray film sales are actually decreasing to me suggests Blu-Ray will just be another Mini-disc/Laser Disc etc. Most new dvd players upscales standard dvd's by 35% and will be able to increase that by 65% in a year or two. Which to me i think says Blu-Ray wont be taking off let alone being the conquering format we are lead to believe. So if that scenario happens then 360 becomes the more future proof by the fact it has a changeable HD if everything does go IPTV or on Demand type route. Which looks probable. Guess we won't know until the future hey

The thing is: investments are made only then when profit worth it. The DLC has become normal on X360, so Microsoft may expect to profit more than $50 million from it, while DLC isn't so common on PS3 it is just too risky to invest $50mil for Sony. In fact, when Sony released PS3 it was more important for them to win HD format war against Blu-Ray, than win the console war.

The guy is actually right, Sony didn't have the bargaining power against Microsoft, I mean, who does? Noone does...Sony Gaming Division is in mega debt, they simply didn't have the money.

While I have a PS3 and am getting GTA IV for it, I STILL don't care for the PS3 not having the DLC. But that's just me. However, I also own a 360 Elite, so I some time in the future I find interest in the DLC, and feel that it is worth it, I will, later down the line, buy the 360 version of GTA IV.

you see they started making the game BEFORE the ps3 was out they made it on 360 if you want to know why but i do recall all the gta getting released on xbox even tho they were bad ports

Hah, yeah I'm being a total Xbox and PC fanboy, cause it's a hot topic right now. Screw the 360/PS3 war, this is where it's at.

 

He hinted at inferiority with the word "afterthought", suggesting they were just rushed out, when I doubt that was the case. You don't have to get so worked up when someone has a difference in opinion, we are allowed to have civil conversations here y'know. Besides, what I said was a general consensus among gamers, not just my personal opinion.

 

Also, I have GTAIII, VC and SA all on PS2. Along with 90~ other games. I must really hate it or something.
