Kazass Posted May 20, 2008 Share Posted May 20, 2008 what's up with all the pro cheaters out there, edison's boys and all, I mean did they already rule out any possibility of cheats being in the game? I know that edison went throught the game files and only found the cheats we already know, but isn't that maybe R*'s intention? To put in and realease cheats that are obvious to find, but implement more which are hidden in a way. I'm pretty sure they learned about what edison did (GTA SA hacking) and now they're maybe trying to make "the game" (reffering to hacking cheats) a bit harder for us?! Or they'll of course be released with the DLC, but that's kinda cheap R*, because then we already predicted it If R* was as witty as I thought, my guess would be that they already put all cheats in the game, already made them usable (just very well hidden) and hence would cause great disturbance when we first found out that there are no new cheats in the DLC (because all of them already hidden in the game). I'm a little worried that there won't be any more cheats being disclosed... but I just can't imagine rockstar leaving so many of them out, if any game should have an endless list of over-the-top cheats available it's this one. Having read through this thread, and others that Edison has posted in. 1) He's having his computer run through it... it can go through about 40,000 numbers a day (I believe that's the number he used). 2) He checked one of the files after decrypting it, and it lists the phone cheats 1 after the other. ninjamaican Posted May 24, 2008 Share Posted May 24, 2008 (edited) the cheats you use in that save will only disable achievements after you use them. if you reload that save, and not cheat, you can still gain the achievement. btw, just what I think... maybe rockstar will release new cheats every month, on the 29th.. I'm really hoping that the cheats won't be downloadable content, nor a patch. Also, there's this user at gamefaqs that posted an alternative way to get the refill health cheat, wherein you're supposed to call Zit while the GTA4 theme is playing in the Ice Cream Truck. Afterwards, the game displays the cheat activated message with the corresponding disabled achievements. A few users have confirmed that this works, but I have yet to try it myself... If it really does, then that could mean that there are other hidden cheats in the game that take more than just dialing a phone number to activate.. what do you guys think?
