ok so HOW were these cheats even found?

Well for car is would be 227-555-xxxx with X being a random number, so for cars not helicopters or boats, it would be about 9999 different combinations to try and see which means there's 9994 to go through as there's been 6 released so far

Dunno how Simal got them, but I found them by decrypting the script files.

In university I was taking a course in 3D animation (not my thing, but interesting really) and our instructor had these guys come in and talk about game design and programming. I was studying a bit of programming, and I love games, so great.

They were showing us meshes, wireframes, texutres etc. For a series of Rugby and Cricket games. Ironically, this was being developed in Canada where those games aren't so popular. Anyway, they were showing us some cool stuff that they'd done to amuse themselves while programming, because writing game code isn't as fun as playing.

They'd made a few team players into weird, random characters. A cereal mascot (maybe Tony the Tiger), zombies, a bunch of mafia and some animals. They were hilarious playing cricket. So I asked if these characters were either unlockable or if they could be accessed entering cheat codes.

They told me (and this is the point of this whole story) that they WANTED to include these dudes as cheat-code type characters into the recent version of the game, but they "weren't allowed". When asked to clarify, they said when you develop a game you're supposed to have everything mapped out in advance and confirmed by the publisher, INCLUDING CHEAT CODES.

Otherwise, once the debugging process is finished, the enhancements are cut off or restricted. Of course, we know by hacking .SMC files or mods such as Hot Coffee, some of those enhancements can be accessed.

There were probably spawn codes for every vehicle. It would be nice to know from Rockstar if they exist. It should be a simple question to answer. Any insiders lurking these boards?

Do they disable achievements?

Yeah.

The spwan vehicle cheats don't.

But the cheats that do disable certain achievements are spawning the chopper, reducing your wanted star and the weapon cheats.

Can you save these numbers to the phone or do you have to type them in each time?

No you can't store them in your phone, you ahve to retype them in everytime you want to use them. Also if you getting shot at by police you can't use the mobile.

no you can store them in your phone, just save after doing them.

Grand Theft Rockstar

Anyone ever thought with the Auto-Eroticar site that those numbers could be cheats for cars?

I think Rockstar just wants us to play awhile then they will release the codes later. Its a matter of time before we figure them out, but I think they are there. They knew we were gonna want codes. Again, maybe the DLC will unlock more codes, you shouldnt rush it, enjoy the game. Everyone rushed through it, I know you wanna cause mayhem with codes, but you can do that without them too.

Full health, armor, and ammunition

Dial "4825550100" into the cell phone. If you enter this code while in a vehicle, it will also repair it. Note: This phone number translates to "GTA-555-0100".

All along I didn't realize that this code actually repairs your cars, choppers, etc.

What's the purpose of the cheat where Niko wears a bra?

Niko in a bra

To wear a bra, go to the clothes store called Modo, and walk up to the cashier. It must be a female cashier for this trick to work. Knife the cashier, and stand over her body for one game hour. Travel back to Roman's apartment, and go to the wardrobe. You should now have an option to wear a bra. Wearing the bra will change NPC dialogue, and they will start saying things to you like "What the hell are you wearing man?!"

No its not. Someone asks but no one answers.

The buttons on the phone have letters written on them, same with every cell phone. You just press the number that has the correct letter on the same button.

So GTA would be 482.

Maybe there are other codes that can be found by changing the area code. Instead of HOT or WET...maybe there are other 3 letter words that can fit in that place. If not, then I'm still content with this game and it's limited amount of cheats. The overall gameplay more than makes up for it. lol.gif

My, aren't we testy today?

I will withdraw my comment when you (or anyone) can provide a video showing rockets firing from an annihilator. This is one of those rumors that I haven't seen proven anywhere, and there have been at least 3 or 4 threads where people have discussed this very same thing.

Here's one such thread.

No its not. Someone asks but no one answers.

You're right. It wasn't confirmed on that page. My mistake.

I made the assumption that you would see that and try it and find that it's correct, or that you'd read page 3 where they are all given using numbers instead of letters.

Or page 6 where Moggle gives a translation

or page 7 where it was asked again

or page 9 where it was asked again

or page 16 where it was asked again, and someone gave a list of numbers/letters.
