TechnoHead
Just a couple of questions... Is definition judged by the size of my computer screen? If so, what do you reckon my computer monitors definition is? Oh, and can I play a 360 on a laptop screen? Here it is: (its not mine, but it's the same model and size) Cookies for anyone who posts an answer.
mupet0000
You can't hook up your 360 to it and by the looks of it, thats 1280x1024 so it wont be 720p (720p is wide screen)

Disease07
I don't think it's possible to hook your 360 up it, I'm not 100% certain though. But it's not HD... Granted it'll be a better image quality than any SDTV. My mate has his 360 on a PC monitor, and it still looks awesome, better than any SDTV. One more question, when you plug in the VGA cord, does it immediately switch to the 360? Or do I need some other program?

Well guessing your laptop has a VGA input (most only have an output) then you should have some sort of software that runs the input card so you would probably have to switch between them manually, unless it recognises the signal and switches for you. But the main thing you need to have is the input, like I said, most laptops only have an output which basically means you can only send the signal out and nothing can come in. I'll be using an old CRT monitor of mine which shall do nicely.

To me it looks like an output but I can't really tell the difference just by looking at it, if you have a spare CRT or LCD monitor or something you should try and connect them together then send the signal from the laptop to the screen if you get a image on the screen then obviously it's an outpu. Most of the time if you have an input you will have both connections (out/input) which means you will have two of those connections and most laptops need the inputs added after purchase by the owner. If you give me the model name of your laptop I'll have a look around for you.

Reading the info it says it has a VGA connections but not whether it is in or out, but it does have an s-video input which I'm sure you could give a go but don't expect anything pretty. to be honest I'd just buy the cables, see if they work, if they don't I'd just send the cables back and claim they're faulty. Although in my opinion it probably won't work, easiest way is to just use a CRT or LCD monitor which you can get for really low prices these days. cold fusion 33
but it does have an s-video input Eh, isn't that an S-VHS input? I'm only assuming here.

But yeah, that VGA output you have is for hooking your laptop up to an external monitor, not the other way round.
