Today I get an e-mail confirming the shipment of my game, and giving me a predicted arrival of 5/3. Total crap. I've decided on Thursday I'm going to the Virgin Megastore in Hollywood and buying GTA as soon as the store opens, then sell the amazon copy. There is no way I can wait another 4 days. I've been waiting far too long already. All this anticipation is making me sick. In closing, I'm brand spanking new to these forums but have been stalking around these boards for about a year. Thank you all for your hard work in bringing in any additional news, not to mention, the photo comparisions are stellar. I hope to play with/against some of you in the PS3 online play. If you must have something on a particular date, whether it's a game on its release date, or anything else, it's best to buy from a brick and mortar merchant. When it comes to games and their release dates, you can have good luck and get it early, or have bad luck and get it late. In my opinion, it's not worth the gamble. Picolini Posted April 28, 2008 Share Posted April 28, 2008 I pre-ordered on Amazon way back, and I payed a TINY bit extra for 2-day shipping. I'll get it the 30th it says, which is totally decent. Currently it says " Carrier notified to pick up package." This happened tonight, so it must be going out tomorrow morning. I'll definitely be tracking this though, to make sure it's on schedule. Sure the 29th would have been great, but the 30th is ok. The 5th, I'd be pissed about. But hey, your fault picking the default shipping. A company as big as Amazon isn't going to risk sending this game out early and get in trouble for having it reach people before the release date.
