You can buy some for cheap, and they work just as well as those expensive crap ones. I got my bedroom HDTV and PS3 at the same time, so I bought an HDMI cable. But then I realised later that I didn't need an expensive one, so I took it back to the store and bought a cheap one from the same place (even though they were saying it would make it look terrible). I had it in my hands and I whistled for a cab and when it came near, the license plate said "fresh" and had a dice in the mirror. If anything I could say that this cab was rare, but I thought now forget it, yo home to bel-air. I pulled up to a house about seven or eight and I yelled to the cabby "yo, home smell you later," looked at my kingdom I was finally there, to settle my throne as the prince of bel-air. That makes zero sense. Even if the textures were crappy (which a few probably are) they'll still appear sharper on HDTV. Animations have nothing to do with it. Well, I assume it was because of people using SDTVs instead. Plus, component cables are much cheaper to make than HDMI cables It's only like 10 USD for an HDMI cable, maybe cheaper if you look around online.
