Ms. Pacman was intended somewhat as a revamped Pacman to appeal to both sexes, and boy, did it ever. Nintendo doesn't have that broad swath of players...over as long a time period as well. And OOT was good, but I think the best game to ever have been released up until GTA4 has been a link to the past. That game kicks the sh*t out of OOT. Resistance FOM 6. F1 Championship Edition 7. Assassins Creed 8. COD4 erm...lol i can't seperate those 8! Although i'm sure in 2 hours and 30 mins i will have one game to trump them all... Goldeneye is just insane that is only just behind the others. Funny how Mario Perfect Dark Goldeneye and Zelda are all primary Nintendo games, go team. I was pretty much raised by OoT and GoldenEye, so they'll always bring back sentimental childhood memories that I'll probably treasure more than any video game in the future, regardless of its awesomeness. The songs from Koji Kondo's Ocarina of Time soundtrack were the nursery rhymes and lullabies of my generation. Sorry Rockstar, but unless you can travel back in time, murder Shigeru Miyamoto and give me an Xbox 360 with GTA IV when I was 9, you'll never give me a new favourite game. Ever. Its on the wii VC at the moment and of course I have it. GTAIV will never surpass it because nintendo games are always maximised for gameplay and the fact that the graphics don't matter after 10 years means it will never be knocked off top spot - maybe joint first. [-Vice-Andreas-] Posted April 28, 2008 Share Posted April 28, 2008 I don't think anything will ever beat Zelda: Ocarina of Time on n64. but I hate it when diehard gamers boast about retro games, as if they've been around longer than everybody else and they've seen it all. it comes down to personal preference, and the only reason we like those retro games is for nostalgic reasons and nothing more. in terms of nostalgia, nothing will ever beat commander keen, the original duke nukems, dangerous dave, oilcap, and much more. but technically speaking, GTA4 is going to be a masterpiece. but its not a game we experienced growing up with, so it won't hold a place in our heart like the old games have.
