Wii/Playstation 3 VGA Cable

How well does this work? Will the game lag at all since it is using the PS3's power for source? How is the image quality, especially compared to a SD TV? (colors, brightness, etc.) and any monitor works?

Very specific there. First off, what cables are you referring to? The PS3 and Wii do not have official VGA cables. Only the Xbox 360 and PC use VGA cables. Next off, any cable needs power to work, are you trying to say that "Does the PS3 have enough electricity flowing through it to power the VGA cable?" or are you trying to say "Does the PS3 have enough capability (hardware wise) to run video through a VGA cable?" Next off, you ask if the game will lag. Do you want to know if the VGA cable will cause your PS3 to lag or do you want to know if the VGA cable will cause lag on your monitor or television? Cables shouldn't cause your console to lag and ghosting is a big factor with your monitor/tv, rather than the console.

The image quality is as good as your output is on your console. Each cable has its own limitations, but usually not great enough to notice a gigantic difference in image quality. SDTV, EDTV and HDTV refer to the resolution size of the monitor. A cable cannot cause ones screen to produce more pixels than it is capable of displaying. For a VGA connection to work, one needs an output to be VGA compatible, whether it be the console or special adapter/converter for the output and either a port on your monitor or tv that is VGA. An adapter or converter can also be used if you need to.

The only dickhead here is you. Rather than taking a hint from me that something is up with your post, you press the get angry button when you posted. Then proceeded to insult me again. If English is not your primary language, then it should be an even bigger hint to double check your post. People will bite your head off because they do not know you, in terms of being anonymous and the fact that they do not know your dialect or behavior. And yes I do know what a VGA cable is. I have used VGA cables ever since I got my first computer and hooked and unhooked a VGA cable several thousand times to all my computers, clients computers or friends computers. Care to be more specific?

You're reply came off to me as if you were trying to insult me with the cocky "proper English and thoughts" phrase. There was nothing really wrong with my English unless you're going to act like a teacher and make sure I use the correct words or whatever but I can understand you where you said my thoughts came off confusing to you. You could of said "I'm not sure what your asking, can you go into more detail with your thoughts?"

 

The Wii/Playstation 3 VGA Cable is what it is called, I'm not referring to the official VGA Cables that don't exist. I read on the VGA Cable and I was just curious on to how well it worked and if the picture quality wasn't screwed up like being tinted green and if my monitor would support the cables.

 

It doesn't matter if you have used VGA cables before or not, I know they work fine for the PS2 and Xbox 360 but since this isn't made directly from Sony, I had my doubts on how well it worked. I care only if you used the PS3/Wii cables. It's called Wii/Playstation 3 VGA Cable.

Basically the answer is yes it will work and lag won't be an issue since you are only substituting the original Component or HDMi for a cable that converts component to VGA. No power is needed besides the power to the PS3 and of course your monitor. It will also look better then SD since your monitor would have a resolution considered HD.
